The Analyst, Regulatory Planning supports Eversource’s regulatory requirements by coordinating and managing assigned regulatory proceedings, filings, and related deliverables. The position also supports the integrity and continued improvement of the systems, repositories, and processes the team uses to manage regulatory work across Connecticut, Massachusetts, and New Hampshire.

Essential Functions:

  • Monitor assigned regulatory dockets, agency notices, decisions, orders, and other developments to identify required actions, filing commitments, and deadlines.

  • Review regulatory requirements and filing instructions, communicate them to appropriate contributors, and coordinate the collection of materials needed for complete and timely submissions.
  • Partner with Regulatory Affairs, Legal, business owners, and subject matter experts to resolve questions, confirm responsibilities, obtain necessary reviews and approvals, and prepare filings for submission.
  • Perform quality checks on filing packages and supporting materials for completeness, consistency, appropriate approvals, and compliance with applicable filing requirements and internal procedures.
  • Maintain accurate information in CaseWorks, SharePoint, docket trackers, and other team systems so that filings, correspondence, orders, deadlines, and supporting records are organized and accessible.
  • Track obligations arising from regulatory decisions and orders, coordinate handoffs to responsible business areas, and follow up on required deliverables.
  • Prepare clear status updates and communicate emerging issues, competing priorities, or potential deadline risks to team leadership and affected stakeholders.
  • Support the maintenance and improvement of regulatory repositories, tracking tools, procedures, and workflows, including system changes or migrations that affect docket management and filing records.
  • Contribute to process documentation, training, and knowledge sharing to promote consistent practices and continuity of regulatory operations across the team.
  • Provide coverage for other regulatory matters and assist with high-priority or time-sensitive filings as business needs require.

Qualifications:

Technical Knowledge/Skill:

  • Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to independently track multiple proceedings and deadlines at once.
  • Excellent written communication skills, including the ability to summarize regulatory correspondence, orders, and filing requirements accurately and concisely.

  • Proficiency with Microsoft 365 applications, particularly Outlook, Excel, Word, Adobe Pro. Teams, and SharePoint; ability to learn and use docket management and filing systems such as CaseWorks.
  • Ability to interpret procedural requirements, apply established processes, and adapt as regulatory priorities or filing requirements change.
