As an AI Performance Marketer, you will take full, hands-on ownership of our client's paid acquisition engine across Meta and Google, operating within a lean, highly technical, and AI-forward growth environment in the private medical imaging and proactive health space. Operating across a network of over 200 registered clinics, our client enables customers to self-refer and book comprehensive medical scans and health memberships.
This is not an agency-management or high-level strategic advisory role; you will be expected to personally build, launch, test, troubleshoot, and scale performance marketing campaigns while constructing the underlying conversion experiences, tracking infrastructure, and AI automation systems required for profitable growth. You will bridge the gap between media buying, conversion rate optimization, measurement engineering, and production-level AI workflows.
Accountability
As an AI Performance Marketer, your success will be defined by your ability to build and operate a high-performance, hands-on growth engine that achieves profitable customer acquisition economics at scale. Here’s how you’ll make an impact:
Paid Acquisition & Campaign Ownership
- Own day-to-day campaign strategy, building, launching, managing, and optimizing performance marketing efforts across Meta Ads and Google Ads.
- Personally take Google Ads management in-house from the existing agency, driving performance across Google Search and Performance Max campaigns.
- Scale Meta advertising campaigns while maintaining strict acquisition economics, analyzing CAC, ROAS, conversion metrics, and commercial outcomes.
- Dynamically allocate marketing budgets across Meta and Google based on blended CAC and top-line business performance, diagnosing underperformance and independently executing corrective actions inside ad platforms.
Conversion Rate Optimization (CRO) & Funnel Iteration
- Independently build, ship, and test landing page experiences tailored to paid acquisition traffic without relying on software engineers or web developers.
- Formulate data-driven hypotheses and execute rapid conversion experiments across messaging, page structures, visual hooks, and landing page offers.
- Identify conversion funnel friction points, connecting ad messaging directly to landing page iteration cycles to increase overall visitor-to-customer conversion rates.
Performance Creative & Positioning
- Conceptualize and direct performance-focused creative assets, drafting compelling ad copy, hooks, and messaging frameworks.
- Analyze performance creative data to understand why specific concepts resonate with target audiences and translate customer insights into fresh creative angles.
- Partner with growth team designers to produce advertising assets while ensuring all communications strictly adhere to approved brand positioning, healthcare claims libraries, and regulated advertising standards.
Analytics, Tracking & Attribution Infrastructure
- Own the technical measurement and tracking stack supporting paid growth, implementing and troubleshooting advertising pixels and custom conversion events.
- Configure and maintain Google Tag Manager (GTM), Meta Conversions API (CAPI), and Google offline/enhanced conversions.
- Ensure accurate conversion data flow between websites, ad networks, and reporting systems, resolving discrepancies between platform-reported metrics and real commercial outcomes.
- Construct automated performance reporting models and log conversion experiments to measure genuine win rates and inform high-stakes budget allocation decisions.
AI & Growth Automation Development
- Build and deploy production-level AI workflows, agentic systems, and growth automations using APIs, MCPs, scripts, and advanced AI platforms (e.g., Claude Code, Codex).
- Identify repetitive growth processes and build automated solutions for campaign analysis, performance reporting, creative research, experiment logging, and operational workflows.
- Document custom AI systems, train growth team colleagues on built tools, and maintain strong strategic human oversight over all commercial decisions.
Colleagues
You will work directly alongside the Chief Revenue Officer (CRO) and Founder / CEO as the primary hands-on performance marketer, while collaborating closely with the Content & Organic Growth Manager, growth team designers, and technical collaborators.
At Oceans, you’ll also receive guidance and support from your Operations Manager, who will help you succeed in the role and ensure that you’re continuously growing and developing in your career.
Skills and Qualifications
At Oceans, we believe in T-shaped individuals—those who bring deep expertise in one area, paired with broad curiosity and interests. As an AI Performance Marketer, your vertical strength will be Paid Media Acquisition & Analytics Infrastructure, while your horizontal capabilities should span Conversion Rate Optimization, AI Workflow Engineering, and Regulatory-Compliant Performance Copywriting.
To excel in this role, you should have:
- Experience: Extensive hands-on media buying experience across Meta Ads and Google Ads (Search & Performance Max) with a proven track record of scaling paid campaigns profitably. Experience in D2C, e-commerce, health-tech, or regulated advertising environments (e.g., ASA/CAP compliance) is strongly preferred.
- Tools & Systems: Expert proficiency in Meta Ads Manager, Meta Events Manager, Google Ads, Google Tag Manager (GTM), Meta CAPI, Google Analytics, and landing page builder platforms.
- Analytics & Process: Advanced capability in technical tracking setup, enhanced/offline conversions, pixel troubleshooting, attribution modeling, GTM configuration, and interpreting commercial CAC/ROAS performance metrics.
- Technical & AI Capabilities: Demonstrated experience building and deploying production-level AI workflows, automations, and scripts using APIs, MCPs, and platforms such as Claude Code, Codex, or equivalent technical tools. Candidates must be able to demonstrate working AI workflows or automations they have personally built and deployed. Regular use of consumer AI tools for research, copywriting, or brainstorming alone is not sufficient.
- Mindset: Highly autonomous individual contributor with a hands-on execution focus, strong creative judgment, and a desire to build systems end-to-end without developer dependency.
During the interview process, you’ll have the opportunity to showcase your skills in the following areas:
- Paid Campaign Performance: Examples of two meaningful paid campaigns you personally managed, ideally covering Meta and Google, including the results achieved and your direct contribution.
- Technical Implementation: Examples of tracking infrastructure, conversion events, landing pages, or growth systems you have personally implemented.
- AI Workflow Demonstration: A working AI workflow, automation, or agentic system you personally built and deployed, demonstrated through a Loom recording, repository, live walkthrough, or equivalent evidence.
- Growth Automation Judgment: How you identify the first growth processes to automate and which decisions you retain under direct human control.
Candidates should expect a practical exercise or test task as part of the evaluation process.
Diversity of experience is core to Oceans. You are expected to work inclusively with individuals from a variety of backgrounds, ensuring that both personal and collective dignity are supported.
Role Specifications
This is a remote role, where you will be expected to work a split shift with some overlap with our client’s time zone. You will, however, be expected to be present for in-person training programs during your first 3.5 weeks with us. During the offer process, we’ll share more information about our benefits and compensation philosophy, considering both market trends and individual factors.
