Summary/Objective

This role is primarily an engineering role to help aid in developing tools and designing solutions for business problems. There are no direct client-facing responsibilities.

This position will be expected to actively participate in client workshops, contribute technical insight, capture requirements, and help shape practical implementation strategies. Once opportunities are identified, this role will own delivery management for the resulting workstreams.

This role is best suited for a candidate with strong Python skills, experience integrating APIs and external systems, and interest in applying AI engineering practices to real-world security operations problems. The ideal candidate will help build agents, automations, and integration workflows within the SCALR AI platform, with a strong emphasis on secure coding, testing, and maintainability.  An ideal candidate combines hands-on SOC knowledge with AI engineering understanding, but SOC knowledge is not a requirement.

 Workflow & Automation Development

- Implement automation logic for SOC-related use cases such as enrichment, investigation support, summarization, workflow routing, and orchestration.

- Support hybrid workflows that combine deterministic logic with AI-driven reasoning.

- Follow provided technical specifications and clarify requirements with Level 2 delivery leads when needed.

- Assist with tuning and refinement of prompts, agent instructions, tool connections, and workflow behavior.

Testing, Security & Reliability

- Write and maintain unit tests, integration tests, and other validation mechanisms.

- Apply secure coding practices throughout development.

- Ensure solutions are reliable, observable, and supportable.

- Troubleshoot technical issues, integration failures, permission issues, and workflow defects.

- Support code review, documentation, and release readiness processes.
