Key responsibilities

As required, review report requirements with the requestor to ensure a full understanding of the needs in order to build the report in an accurate and timely manner.

• Negotiate delivery dates with Clients based on volume of work within the department and the complexity of the report when required.
• Gather data from various source systems using various query tools, sort, calculate, consolidate, analyze and format the non standard report as requested by our external Client.
• Reports created must adhere to our P and C guidelines. Reports are primarily claims related but can also be for premium when required. Also develops reports for external Clients to support claim audits and tax reporting.
• Management of inquiries received from internal/external Clients and respond to any escalated issues on non standard reports.
• Participate in projects providing technical support and making recommendations for testing and implementation. Assume lead role in various reporting initiatives.
• Technical trainer, consultant and mentor to the level 1’s and other depts. Conducts technical QA peer reviews of System Reporting Analyst’s work which is not formally audited but critical for the accurate and timely information for our Clients

Required Qualifications:

• Superior query knowledge (Access, Infomaker 6.5, MS Office, SQL, etc.)
  Excellent knowledge of our in-house applications
• Knowledge of our claims adjudication, premium systems and data warehouses
• Good knowledge of mainframe/datasets and other standard reporting tools.
• Ability to analyze and solve numerous complex issues.

• General business knowledge
• Solid appreciation of the needs of plan sponsors, advisors, RGOs and other operation departments
• Solid understanding of the upstream admin systems and downstream impacts to other areas
• Excellent organizational skills ensuring Client and other files are organized and up to date and workstations and file areas are well organized
• Knowledge of functions and services performed by other admin areas
