We are seeking an enthusiastic Physician Assistant or Acute Care Nurse Practitioner to join our friendly, dynamic team in a busy Gastroenterology practice by providing coverage in the DFW suburb of Grapevine, TX at Baylor Grapevine Hospital. Our clinic has been serving the community over 20 years and is also a partner of the fast-growing GI Alliance organization. Our practice fosters a team approach that will enable the PA/NP to expand their skillset and knowledge. We are dedicated to providing training and guidance to allow the PA to excel with a sense of proficiency and accomplishment. The PA/NP in this position will have a meaningful impact in the practice.

The PA/NP will be an integral member of the TDDC Southlake practice by providing hospital coverage at Baylor Grapevine Hospital, working alongside a physician partner, helping contribute to our strong clinical presence and coordinated patient care efforts.

Job Description:

• Practice address: Baylor Grapevine Hospital
• Schedule: Part-Time, including Saturdays & Sundays
• Inpatient, hospital based
• No call responsibilities
• Seeing both new patients (always seen in conjunction with a physician) and follow-up patients; patient consults and follow-up notes
• All plans of care will be run by the physician on staff
• Elicit detailed patient histories, conduct physical examinations and document findings
• Counsel patients and families on health conditions and treatments
• Support, educate, guide office clinical staff (Nurses, MAs) and office staff (schedulers) in regard to patient care
• Determine tentative diagnoses and order appropriate diagnostic tests, interpret pathology findings, imaging, laboratory and other results
• Counsel patient and family on endoscopic indications, findings, potential complications and expected outcomes
• Achieve proficiency in the practice and EMR
• Collaborate with referring physicians and offices, hospitalists, surgical partners and other specialties for optimal patient care
• Maintain in good standing licensure with the Texas State Board of Medical Examiners
• Participate in all continuing education, training, and other requirements to remain in good standing for credentialing purposes at assigned medical facilities
• Perform other duties as assigned
