The Opportunity:
SAIT has partnered with the Solicitor General and Alberta Advanced Education to deliver Standard First Aid Training at Calgary Correctional Centre (CCC). This instructional opportunity to scheduled to deliver in-person training on site at CCC.
The tentative start date is November 2026 to August 2027
Programing will run Monday to Friday (with the exception of Statutory holidays), max 6 hours per day.
Approximately 10 courses per year
The ideal candidate would be certified as a Standard First Aid Instructor and H2S Alive Instructor.
Police Information Check is required as part of the onboarding process
Qualifications
Required
Certified Standard First Aid Instructor with a minimum of 5 years teaching experience.
Authorized Red Cross Provider
Experience and fluency with Office 365 (MS Word, Outlook and PowerPoint)
Fluent in English reading and vocabulary
Comfortable speaking to the public
Positive & respectful attitude
Ability to read, interpret and deliver specific curriculum
Excellent communication skills
Ability to organize and present written information
Desired:
H2S Alive Instructor Certification would be considered an asset
Training and knowledge of adult learning fundamentals
Formal training or education in facilitation or teaching
Formal training in online technologies
