Our mission is to commercialize atom-based quantum products that provide orders-of-magnitude improvements in performance and computing applications.
Infleqtion is poised for significant growth after completing our transition to a publicly traded company (NYSE ticker symbol “INFQ”). We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Accounts Payable Manager to join our accounting team. This individual will play a key role in strengthening accounting operations and supporting our transformation into a world-class public company.
The Role
Infleqtion is seeking an experienced, hands-on Accounts Payable Manager to own and transform our AP function. You will bring order to a growing, complex environment; strengthen controls; and implement a scalable AP automation solution.
The successful candidate is comfortable getting into the detail, setting clear expectations, following through on open items, and building processes that enable a timely and accurate close. You will partner closely with Accounting, Procurement, Finance, and business stakeholders across the organization.
What You’ll Do
• Own the end-to-end accounts payable process, including invoice intake, coding, approvals, vendor setup and maintenance, payment processing, employee expense-related payables, and AP reporting.
• Establish a clear AP operating cadence and drive accountability for timely invoice submission, coding, approvals, issue resolution, and payment execution.
• Lead implementation of an AP automation platform that integrates effectively with NetSuite and supports a scalable procure-to-pay process.
• Design and document standardized AP workflows, policies, desk procedures, and service-level expectations.
• Strengthen AP controls, including segregation of duties, approval workflows, vendor master controls, duplicate-payment review, payment authorization, and retention of audit support.
• Manage the monthly AP close process, including accruals, AP aging review, vendor reconciliations, open purchase order review, cutoff procedures, and balance sheet reconciliations.
• Ensure invoices, payments, and supporting documentation are recorded accurately and in the appropriate accounting period.
• Partner with Procurement to improve purchase order compliance and reduce nonstandard purchasing activity.
• Manage the vendor tax-information process, including collection and validation of Forms W-9 and other required documentation.
• Lead the annual Form 1099 process, including vendor review, data validation, timely filing, and resolution of vendor inquiries.
• Coordinate sales and use tax compliance activities, including review of taxable purchases, use-tax accruals, exemption documentation, and support for filings prepared internally or by external advisors.
• Work with internal and external auditors to provide complete, organized, and timely AP support.
• Develop meaningful KPIs for invoice processing time, aging, exception rates, payment timeliness, and unresolved items; communicate risks and progress to leadership.
• Build, coach, and hold accountable an AP team that delivers responsive service and high-quality work.
Requirements
What You’ll Bring
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• 5+ years of progressive accounts payable or accounting operations experience, including 2+ years leading a team or function.
• Demonstrated experience stabilizing, cleaning up, or redesigning an AP process in a growth-stage or complex organization.
• Experience evaluating and implementing AP automation or procure-to-pay software.
• Strong knowledge of AP accounting, three-way match, accruals, vendor management, payment controls, and month-end close.
• Experience with NetSuite or a similar ERP system required.
• Strong Excel skills and an ability to analyze data, identify root causes, and resolve issues rather than simply report them.
• Proven ability to manage competing priorities, communicate directly and constructively, and drive work to completion.
• A practical, detail-oriented mindset with high standards for documentation, accuracy, and follow-through.
