More about the role:
We are seeking an Account Supervisor, Performance Media to focus on our Corporate Affairs and Public Affairs practice. This role will support a portfolio of high-profile client engagements including corporate reputation, public affairs, advocacy, policy, and issue-based communications campaigns.
The Account Supervisor will play a hands-on role in the daily execution, optimization, and reporting of paid media campaigns while partnering closely with senior performance media leaders and account teams to ensure campaigns are delivered accurately, efficiently, and with strong performance discipline.
This is an opportunity for a platform-fluent media professional who combines paid social, search, and programmatic execution experience with strong analytical judgment, attention to detail, and the ability to communicate performance insights clearly to internal teams and clients.
The ideal candidate is comfortable working in fast-paced agency, public affairs, corporate affairs, political, advocacy, or communications environments and can operate directly within platforms while proactively flagging issues, identifying solutions, and supporting senior team members across active client work.
This role can be based in Washington DC or New York.
What you'll do:
Campaign Execution
- Build, launch, monitor, optimize, and manage paid media campaigns across assigned client accounts.
- Execute campaigns across key media platforms including Meta, LinkedIn, TikTok, Google Search, YouTube, DV360, and The Trade Desk.
- Manage campaign setup, audience creation, targeting, budget pacing, tracking implementation, QA, and launch readiness.
- Support paid media programs across paid social, programmatic, search, and emerging channels.
- Maintain a high level of accuracy and organization across campaign builds, trafficking, optimization, and reporting workflows.
Optimization & Performance
- Monitor campaign performance regularly and identify opportunities to improve delivery, efficiency, audience quality, and results.
- Diagnose performance issues, flag risks or irregularities to senior team members, and bring recommended solutions or next steps.
- Execute optimization plans including audience refinement, bid and budget adjustments, creative rotation, testing, and channel-level adjustments.
- Use performance data to help inform recommendations across paid social, search, and programmatic activity.
- Support senior team members in ensuring campaigns remain aligned to client goals, communications objectives, and agreed performance indicators.
Reporting & Analytics
- Develop campaign reports, performance summaries, and supporting materials for internal and client-facing discussions.
- Analyze campaign metrics and translate performance data into clear takeaways, implications, and recommended actions.
- Support reporting across awareness, reputation, perception, advocacy, policy, and stakeholder engagement campaigns.
- Use tools such as Google Analytics, Adobe Analytics, Google Tag Manager, and platform reporting interfaces to support measurement and analysis.
- Communicate performance trends clearly and proactively to senior performance media and account team members.
Public Affairs & Corporate Affairs Campaign Support
- Support paid media efforts tied to public affairs, advocacy, corporate reputation, public policy, and issue-based communications programs.
- Assist with audience targeting approaches for specialized stakeholder, policy, reputation, and opinion leader campaigns.
- Partner with performance media, analytics, public affairs, creative, and account teams to support coordinated campaign delivery.
- Bring awareness of how paid media supports broader earned, owned, reputation, advocacy, and communications strategies.
- Contribute to programs that may involve complex, highly scrutinized, or sensitive client issues with professionalism and sound judgment.
Team Collaboration & Account Support
- Work closely with Vice Presidents, SVPs, and account teams to support campaign delivery and day-to-day account needs.
- Help ensure campaign work is moving forward, deliverables are organized, and execution updates are communicated clearly.
- Collaborate with junior team members and help reinforce platform best practices, QA standards, and reporting discipline.
- Escalate questions, challenges, and opportunities appropriately while demonstrating ownership of assigned workstreams.
- Contribute to effective ways of working across internal teams, external partners, vendors, and clients.
Experience that contributes to success:
- 4 to 6 years of experience managing digital media campaigns across agency, public affairs, communications, political, advocacy, or corporate marketing environments.
- Hands-on experience building, managing, optimizing, and reporting on paid media campaigns within platform interfaces.
- Strong working knowledge across paid social, search, and/or programmatic channels.
- Experience leveraging Google Ads, Google Tags, Google Search, DV360 and The Trade Desk, Meta Ads Manager, LinkedIn Campaign Manager, and TikTok Ads.
- Strong understanding of campaign setup, media trafficking, targeting, tracking, optimization, pacing, QA, reporting, and measurement.
- Ability to analyze campaign data and translate performance trends into clear findings and recommended actions.
- Experience working in fast-paced agency or client-service environments managing multiple priorities and deadlines.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to communicate campaign updates, performance results, and issues clearly.
- Excellent attention to detail, organization, follow-through, and comfort working directly in media platforms on a regular basis.
Preferred qualifications:
- Experience supporting public affairs, advocacy, issue campaigns, policy communications, political campaigns, or corporate reputation initiatives.
- Search and programmatic experience strongly preferred in addition to paid social experience.
- Familiarity with audience and voter or stakeholder data platforms such as LiveRamp, Applecart, Atlas, i360, or BlueLabs.
- Experience using competitive intelligence tools such as AdClarity, Pathmatics, or comparable platforms.
- Experience supporting technology, AI, infrastructure, retail, telecommunications, healthcare, or regulated-industry clients.
- Agency, public affairs, political, advocacy, or communications environment experience preferred.
- Relevant platform certifications across major media platforms are a plus.
