About Digital Industry Singapore (DISG)
The Digital Industry Singapore (DISG) office is a joint office comprising officers from EDB, ESG and IMDA to oversee Singapore’s efforts to build up its technology ecosystem. DISG drives job creation, capability building, enterprise development and internationalization across key local and international digital enterprises.

The official title for this role will be Manager, Digital Industry Singapore (DISG)

[What you will be working on]

Account Management

• Cultivate strategic relationships and build trust with key company executives, to understand the company’s priorities, and pursue new growth opportunities

• Develop deep understanding of clients’ multi-faceted needs and operations to implement and execute coherent client engagement strategies

• Lead the execution of projects and initiatives related to portfolios of companies

• Identify, negotiate and structure project opportunities to secure “win-win” outcomes for clients and Singapore

• Collaborate with other teams in EDB and in other parts of the Singapore Government for project development, related negotiations and smooth execution of end-to-end project implementation

Industry Analysis and Strategy Development

• Undertake initiatives and thematic analysis of emerging technology areas, such as AI, cybersecurity, talent, infrastructure, digital and sensing

• Formulate strategies and develop value propositions to champion for Singapore’s digital economy

• Co-develop, influence and provide input (where relevant) on policies or product/ service development to appropriate teams in EDB and/or rest of Singapore government on policies or product, that can advance the development of the Digital industry

• Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to co-create solutions and ideas to enable partnerships with different ecosystem players (e.g. companies, education institutions, government agencies etc.)

[What we are looking for]

To meet the challenges of this role, you possess:

• At least 3 years of relevant work experience; experience in technology and relevant sector is preferred.

• Skillsets and prior experience in account management, business development, or strategy development would be advantageous

• Keen interest in industry development with a strong desire to learn about and understand technological and business trends that influence the industry

• Strong conceptual & analytical thinking skills

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, both written and spoken; including ability and experience in engaging stakeholders

• Self-motivated and positive attitude, excellent work ethic and a team player

• Experience working with/in emerging markets (especially with Chinese companies) is preferable
