SUMMARY
The New York Liberty Group Sales team is focused on growing the Liberty fan base and creating memorable experiences by connecting businesses, schools, youth organizations, nonprofits, community groups, and other organizations with New York Liberty basketball.
The Account Executive, Group Sales – New York Liberty is responsible for generating new ticket revenue with a primary focus on group sales and experiences. This individual will develop new business through proactive prospecting, cultivate relationships across the tristate area, follow up on inbound opportunities, and identify creative ways to bring new and existing fans together around the New York Liberty.
The Account Executive will manage the full sales process, from prospecting and initial outreach through closing, fulfillment, and relationship development. The role will also collaborate with internal teams to deliver high-quality group experiences and identify opportunities to cross-sell additional Brooklyn Sports & Entertainment ticketing and hospitality products, as assigned.
This position reports to the Senior Manager, Group Sales and is expected to attend New York Liberty home games and other events as needed, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
WHAT YOU WILL DO
- Drive new business and ticket revenue through proactive outbound prospecting, with a primary focus on New York Liberty group sales and experiences.
- Meet or exceed weekly, monthly, and annual revenue, outbound activity, appointment, and other performance goals established by Group Sales leadership.
- Develop and maintain a strong pipeline of prospective group buyers across businesses, schools, youth sports organizations, nonprofits, community organizations, social groups, and other market segments.
- Build relationships with group leaders and decision-makers to understand their objectives and develop ticket packages and experiences that meet their needs.
- Manage the full sales cycle, including prospecting, discovery, presentations, proposals, closing, fulfillment, and ongoing relationship management.
- Accurately track sales activity, opportunities, customer interactions, and forecasts in Salesforce.
- Respond to inbound leads in a timely manner and convert qualified opportunities into New York Liberty group business.
- Attend New York Liberty home games and events to host clients and prospects, execute group experiences, support sales initiatives, and ensure a high-quality customer experience.
- Represent the New York Liberty and Brooklyn Sports & Entertainment at networking events, community functions, industry events, and other lead-generation opportunities.
- Partner with Ticketing, Marketing, Community Relations, Game Presentation, Operations, and other internal teams to develop and execute memorable group experiences.
- Identify opportunities to renew and grow existing group accounts while developing relationships that support long-term fandom and repeat business.
- Cross-sell additional Brooklyn Sports & Entertainment ticketing, hospitality, and event opportunities as assigned.
- Contribute to special projects and team initiatives that support Group Sales, New York Liberty, and broader organizational goals.
WHAT YOU WILL BRING
- 1–3 years of sales experience; ticket sales, sports, live entertainment, hospitality, or another high-volume sales environment is preferred.
- Demonstrated ability to prospect for new business and work toward individual revenue and activity goals.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to connect effectively with a wide range of customers and prospects.
- Strong customer service and relationship-building skills with a focus on creating positive experiences.
- Ability to manage multiple prospects, accounts, and priorities while maintaining strong attention to detail.
- Comfort with outbound sales activity, including phone, email, networking, and in-person prospecting.
- Experience using Salesforce or another CRM platform is preferred.
- Ability to work New York Liberty home games and other events, including nights, weekends, and holidays as required.
- Interest in women’s sports, basketball, live entertainment, and the continued growth of the New York Liberty and WNBA is strongly preferred.

COMPENSATION
$26.45 / hour

WORK ENVIRONMENT
The incumbent will work primarily in an office environment located in Industry City. This position is also expected to attend New York Liberty games and other events and may be required to work evenings, weekends, and holidays based on the event schedule.
