CRM Commercial Excellence Head
Abbott Medical Japan CRM – Cardiac Rhythm Management

Primary Function
Responsible for supporting General Manager in developing business strategy and sales plan, ensuring effectiveness in Sales & Marketing organization in direct business as well as distributor business through AMJ’s exclusive distributor, and design and implementation of SFE infrastructure including potential introduction of tools such as SFDC. Serve as the leading coordinator on cross-functional projects and workstreams that involve multiple functions.
Major Responsibilities
General:
- Serve as a senior adviser to General Manager in developing strategy and designing required analysis and framework to improve overall business performance.
- Cooperate with and support various function heads, namely Sales, Marketing. Finance, and Business Development in developing and executing on various cross functional workstreams.
- Ensure sales force effectiveness through various initiatives, such as performance monitoring, market/accounts targeting, and IT/SFE platforms.
- Develop and maintain sales performance reporting mechanism for both direct and distributor businesses.
- Design reward programs including sales incentives for sales reps to increase the engagement of the sales team.
- Develop dealer/GPO strategy and implement programs to drive performance.
- Develop the pricing strategy in response to bi-annual reimbursement review and lead the negotiation with dealers.
- Support business development team by providing strategic and analytical support in their effort to work with senior management of our exclusive distributor (Nihon Kohden) to develop and implement performance enhancing initiatives.
- Develop sales and marketing strategies with distributor’s team, monitor performance and engage with them on regular basis to ensure focus and drive to promote our business.
- Gain best practices across Abbott and apply them to CRM business.
- Set goals/priorities for the team, attract, and retain talents to establish the best-in-class team.
- Identify needs for subordinates' development areas based on IDPs and provide support, coaching and guidance to them.
Minimum Requirements
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent
Background:
- Extensive experience in corporate strategy and planning.
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in healthcare industry, ideally in medical device business.
- Experience in collaboration and creating partnership with global counterparts as well as local cross-functional stakeholders.
Preferred Requirement
- MBA or related Master level education is preferable.
- Any experience in sales and/or marketing is a plus.
- Experience in turning around business performance is preferable.
- Experience in consultancy firms is preferable
