Looking for a talented, motivated & ambitious individual to join our Internship Programme in Paris starting as soon as possible.  As part of the programme, you will have the opportunity to experience working in the Credit Sales Group in Paris.

MUFG Bank (Europe) N.V. is a universal bank in the EU that combines Corporate and Investment Banking and Capital Markets activities. It closely cooperates with all the Global Markets and sales and trading teams within the wider MUFG Group to provide financial services between corporate and institutional clients.

The Credit Sales Group forms part of the wider department known as Institutional Investor Sales group (ICG) which has the responsibility for developing and implementing MUFG’s Sales and Trading strategy.

ICG works with sales and trading teams across product lines and regions to identify a target list of priority clients and to develop and implement detailed accounts plans for them. Relationship Managers work alongside salespeople in product areas to engage with clients, strengthen our relationships, and increase client profitability.

Our Business Areas

Our securities business offers a comprehensive product suite to institutional clients around the world through five key business lines in the primary and secondary markets: capital markets, credit, rates, equities, and structured products.

Our commercial banking arm is a leading corporate lending bank offering an intensive range of services from Transaction Banking & Asset Finance to Project Finance & Syndicated Loans and Leveraged Loans.

What To Expect

Our 6-months Internship Programme will help you to develop a sound understanding of our product lines, our clients & our business strategies.  The successful candidate will have the opportunity to be involved in the following daily activities:

• Programme pricing sheets and produce daily market updates
• Work with sales colleagues on KYC and related compliance documentation
• Work on client data bases
• Prepare reports and client pitch books and presentations
• Support the local, Paris-based Credit Sales team
• Support the sales team in Primary and Secondary market activities
• Close interaction with the credit trading, sales and strategy group on London, New York, Tokyo and Hong Kong

We look for talented, motivated and ambitious people who will be able to help drive our business forward. The successful candidate will have

• Already done at least one internship in a sales & trading role in fixed income with a global investment bank for at least 6 months
• Strong interest in financial markets and sound knowledge of economic and financial theories from a leading university
• Outstanding analytical, quantitative, and interpersonal skills
• High attention to detail and accuracy
• Excellent communication & interpersonal skills
• Strong levels of motivation and integrity
• Fluent language skills in English, French and ideally one other European language
• Obtained a minimum 2:1 within the last 12 months, or be in line for a minimum 2:1 (or equivalent) at undergraduate level
• Programming skills in VBA, Python, Java, C++ preferred
• Proficiency in MS Office and Bloomberg
