2028 Point72 Academy Summer Internship — U.S.  

Are you a student interested in pursuing a career in investing? If you are graduating between December 2028 and July 2029, we invite you to apply for our 8-week summer internship, taking place from June to August 2028. 

Launch your investing career in the Point72 Academy, an investment analyst training program designed to prepare you for a potential career on our fundamental equities teams.  Since 2015, the Academy has graduated more than 250 analysts onto our platform as of August 2026; some are portfolio managers today.  

The Point72 Academy Summer Internship combines structured training with real investing experience, including hands-on research on our investment teams. You’ll build the core skills used by public-markets investors and experience firsthand what it’s like to work as an Analyst at Point72. The internship can be your starting point into the full-time Point72 Academy Associate Program.   

During the internship, you will: 

• Build a foundation in company research, financial analysis, and the skills needed to contribute as an investment analyst
• Receive training in accounting, modeling, presenting, and compliance.
• Work directly on an investment team, gaining exposure to researching companies and industries alongside our analysts and portfolio managers
• Learn how investment ideas are developed, debated, and refined in a live market environment
• Receive feedback from Academy coaches as you dive deeper into data analysis and prepare a final investment pitch Explore efficient ways to harness AI in your investment processes and workflows in collaboration with Compliance, Information Security, and the Office of the Co-CIO

What to expect: 

• Your online application, essays, and resume will serve as an introduction to who you are as a candidate. Once you complete the online application, we will begin reviewing your profile.
• Selected candidates will then receive an email invitation to participate in a case study, allowing you to showcase your experiences and demonstrate your business acumen.
• Following submission and review of your case study, the next step would be an online assessment and virtual one on one interviews with various members of the Academy team, if selected.

The annual base salary is $120,000 - $140,000 (USD) which will be prorated based on internship start and end date. Actual compensation offered to the successful candidate may vary from posted hiring based upon geographic location, work experience, education, and/or skill level, among other things.
