Role Overview: 

Strategy& is a global strategy consulting firm that is part of the professional services network of PwC. Strategy& has a network of 75+ offices with 4500+ consultants around the world. Strategy& benefits from the broad expertise and international reach of the wider PwC network.

The Strategy& Dublin practice helps organisations develop and implement effective strategies to achieve their goals and objectives. We address key CEO questions on issues such as growth strategy, market entry, mergers and acquisitions, organisation design, performance improvement and value creation.

The Strategy& Graduate Programme provides a structured learning environment to help you develop the skills and capabilities required of a top-tier strategy consultant. Our programme includes on-the-job learning (via hands-on project experience), learning from others (via Buddy, Coach and Mentor), and formal learning (via induction and regular training sessions).

Your first two weeks are induction, which teaches you the basics and develops your network with the Strategy& and PwC intakes. After the initial two weeks training, you will join project teams and become a core contributor. You will take ownership of defined pieces of analysis and project deliverables, with guidance and support from experienced team members. You will have the opportunity to contribute to discussions in internal meetings with senior team members and will have your voice and opinions valued. Your responsibilities will grow as your experience develops, giving you the opportunity to make meaningful contributions from an early stage in your career.

Day-to-day, you will work closely with colleagues across different levels of experience, combining analytical thinking, structured problem solving and effective communication to help solve complex client challenges. You will contribute to team discussions, share your perspectives and learn how to translate data and qualitative insights into practical recommendations that create real client impact.

  

Typical Graduate responsibilities include:  

Taking ownership of defined workstreams and project deliverables, while receiving coaching, feedback and support from experienced members of the project team.

Identifying relevant data sources and collecting, interpreting and analysing data to generate insights that support strategic recommendations.

Conducting interviews and deriving insight from qualitative inputs.

Working with project teams to break down complex business problems, test potential solutions and develop practical recommendations for clients

Supporting the development of client-ready presentations and communicating findings to colleagues, clients and senior stakeholders as your confidence and experience grow.

Building commercial awareness and developing an understanding of the challenges and opportunities facing organisations across a broad range of industries.

Contributing to the wider Strategy& team through internal initiatives, collaboration, knowledge-sharing and other activities that support the growth and success of the business.

All new joiners are each assigned a buddy who will be responsible for helping you settle in and be there to answer any questions you may have. Alongside this, you will also have a career coach, who will serve as a mentor and support you to ensure you get the opportunities to develop and progress your career at Strategy&.

Who We’re Looking For: 

Our Graduates join us from a range of backgrounds, but all are intellectually curious and highly motivated. We also look for people who bring something more to our work than their academic credentials. For example, the self-discipline and team-working skills or leadership qualities gained through work, sporting and volunteering experience. 

You have a strong academic record and good analytical and problem-solving skills (minimum 2.1 degree or equivalent)  

As a Graduate, you’ll be able to exercise commercial awareness, analytical and interpersonal skills in your day-to-day work. Over time, you’ll build the confidence and credibility to present your opinions to clients and senior stakeholders.
