Northrop Grumman is seeking a Cyber Systems Engineers intern. This position will be located at our Mission Systems Sector in Roy, UT

The qualified candidate will become part of Northrop Grumman’s Mission Systems.

We are looking for Systems Engineering Interns with an interest in Cyber Security

Engineering systems development is the process of building, testing, and refining a system in controlled environments, development is for building and testing with freedom.  

Basic Qualifications

A candidate must meet ALL of the below criteria. The candidate must:

• Be a student who is enrolled full-time and pursuing an undergraduate or graduate degree from an accredited college/university and will be enrolled full time in Fall 2027

• Be majoring in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering or Math) degree
   

• Be available to work full-time (40 hours per week) for at least 10 weeks during summer 2027.

• Be able to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government security clearance (U.S. citizenship is a pre-requisite) as well as Program Special access within a reasonable period of time, as determined by the company to meet its business needs (U.S. citizenship is a pre-requisite)

• Candidate Must have the ability to obtain Secret/TS clearance.”

Preferred Qualifications: 

• Have an overall cumulative GPA of 3.00/4.0 or higher

• Computer Skills: Python 3, Java, C#, C++, Linux, SSH, MATLAB, Autodesk Inventor and Maya, LabVIEW and Multi-sim, Zebra Inventory Management Systems, Microsoft & Google Office Suites

• Current Secret/TS clearance.

Intern Pay Range:

Bachelor’s: $18.50 to $33.50 per hour

Master’s: $26.25 to $41.50 per hour

Primary Level Salary Range: $18.50 - $33.50

The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.

Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
