NYISO Internship Program

The New York Independent System Operator (NYISO) applies cutting-edge technology to operating a reliable electricity system, managing competitive markets for wholesale electricity, and planning for the Empire State's energy future.

Our summer internships offer an experience far beyond that of a typical program. In this full-time, 12-week program, interns learn about the energy business through executive-led seminars, attend field trips, and work side-by-side with staff on projects vital to the organization. Each intern ends their summer with a presentation to the NYISO community. Compensation is competitive, and housing stipends are available. Applicants must be full-time college/university students.
