As a Tax Innovation - Data Engineer - Senior Associate, you will be at the forefront of developing innovative software solutions that drive digital transformation and enhance business performance. Within our Tax practice, you will leverage your technical skills and creative thinking to design, code, and test applications that revolutionize industries and deliver exceptional user experiences. As a Senior Associate, you will focus on building meaningful client connections and learning how to manage and inspire others. You will navigate increasingly complex situations, growing your personal brand and deepening your technical skills. You are expected to anticipate the needs of your teams and clients, delivering quality solutions even when the path forward is unclear.

In this role at PwC Acceleration Center India, you will use a broad range of tools and methodologies to generate new ideas and solve problems. Your ability to interpret data will inform insights and recommendations, helping to uphold professional and technical standards. Responsibilities

- Developing innovative software solutions to drive digital transformation and enhance business performance
- Designing, coding, and testing cutting-edge applications to deliver exceptional user experiences
- Utilizing programming languages such as Python to create efficient and scalable software products
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams to integrate technology-driven solutions in tax service delivery
- Navigating complex software engineering challenges to optimize application performance and reliability
- Applying critical thinking to break down complex concepts and generate new ideas
- Interpreting data to inform insights and recommendations for software development projects
- Upholding professional and technical standards in alignment with PwC's methodologies and guidelines
- Building meaningful client connections and anticipating the needs of teams and clients
- Mentoring junior team members to foster skill development and knowledge sharing

What You Must Have

- At least a Bachelor's degree in one of the following fields of study: Accounting, Information Technology, Engineering, Commerce MBA (finance related), M.Com
- At least 3+ years of experience
- Oral and written proficiency in English required

What Sets You Apart

  • Having a strong technical background and experience on the Databricks platform with a strong understanding of workflows, DLT, Asset Bundles, Unity catalog, Genie, etc.
  • Having strong Data Engineering skills to design and build scalable and enterprise grade data pipelines utilizing PySpark, Python, SQL, and Databricks.
  • Having good understanding and extensive experience in Azure including but not limited to Azure cloud, Azure DevOps, Azure Storage and Data Services
  • Having deep understanding of Data modeling techniques and Architectures like Delta Lake, DWH and Lakehouse architecture.
  • Experience setting up CI/CD, automated testing and version control for fast and reliable deployments.
  • Solid understanding of Distributed systems, and experience with Apache Spark framework
  • Experience with Genie and other AI capabilities on Databricks is highly desirable.
