Test Development Engineer
As a Test Development Engineer, you will play a key role in ensuring the quality, safety, and reliability of technology that healthcare professionals rely on every day.
Working at the intersection of hardware, software, and manufacturing, you will design and develop automated test solutions that help deliver high-quality medical devices to patients around the world in close collaboration with engineers across R&D, quality and manufacturing.
This is a fixed term position till September 2028
Your role:
Developing automated production tests for our patient monitoring portfolio in close collaboration with R&D during the product development lifecycle.
Designing and implementing innovative test solutions, including test hardware, fixtures, instrumentation, and test software.
Creating test concepts from component and PCB level up to complete manufacturing test systems.
Analyzing measurement data and continuously optimize test coverage, reliability, and efficiency.
Validating, verifying, and documenting test systems in compliance with medical device regulations and quality standards.
Supporting global production sites by maintaining and improving deployed test systems.
Driving innovation in our test development platform through modern engineering practices, automation, digitalization, and AI-assisted development approaches.
You're the right fit if:
You hold a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electronics Engineering, Technical Informatics, or a related engineering discipline.
You have experience in electronics development, hardware testing, measurement technology, or test system development.
You possess solid knowledge of analog and digital electronics, signal conditioning, sensor interfaces, and high-speed signals.
You enjoy working hands-on with measurement equipment and solving complex technical challenges.
You have programming experience in environments such as Python, Go, LabVIEW, TestStand, or similar technologies.
You are comfortable using modern AI tools and coding assistants such as GPT, Claude, GitHub Copilot, or comparable technologies to increase productivity and innovation.
You communicate effectively in English and German and enjoy working in an international environment.
You are curious, open-minded, and eager to learn new technologies and methodologies.
You take ownership, enjoy working independently, and are equally comfortable collaborating within a team.
Most importantly, you are passionate about engineering and motivated to make a real impact on products that help improve and save lives every day.
Knowledge of medical device development, FDA regulations, ISO 13485, verification, or validation processes is an advantage but not required.
Compensation & Benefits
Doing meaningful work should come with fair, transparent rewards. The base salary range for this role is €93,050.83 – €124,067.77. We determine pay within the range using objective factors, like the skills the role requires, your relevant experience and the responsibility you'll have in this role, alongside internal equity and local market considerations. An entry-level position below this range may be offered if the job requirements are not yet fully met; in this case, the employee will be placed in a lowersalary band. We ensure compliance with internal compensation structures as well as standard market conditions.
This role is eligible for Short Term Incentive, with your rewards linked to individual performance and company results. We’ll share the full approach with you during the interview process, so you can make a clear, informed decision.
