SUMMARY:

The Substance Use Disorder (SUD) Program Coordinator is responsible for programmatic oversight of the SUD Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) service line, and contracts and partnerships relevant to SUD treatment for region CCBHCs. The SUD Coordinator is also a subject matter expert on substance use disorders, clinical best practices, and state and federal regulation applicable to outpatient treatment, and provides internal and external training and outreach on these topics.

PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Oversees SUD Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP), including staffing from treatment programs, implementation of EBP curriculum, assessment of client progress and clinical recommendations, and service workflow for referral in and out of program.

Ensures IOP services are appropriately rendered, documented, and billed following applicable state and federal regulation and medical necessity standards.  

Evaluates and maintains compliance to IOP level of care as defined by ASAM and state and federal regulations.

Oversees workflow, contracts, and operations of urinalysis program for appropriate clients.

Serves as point of contact for laboratory staff and works with applicable managers and directors to maintain contract and services in good standing.

Serves as liaison to any Designated Collaborating Organization (DCO) agencies providing SUD services.

Develops, facilitates, and evaluates regular trainings on SUD topics including ASAM level of care tool, SBIRT, and integrated care.

Builds relationships with community partners, performs outreach and marketing regarding Gateway treatment services, with a focus on SUDs.

Provides consultation to program managers and staff on best practices in integrated care. 

Provides a portion of direct client care within scope as LCDP.

Maintains detailed, accurate, and timely documentation in health record.

Enhances and maintains professional expertise through educational activities and trainings.

Follows agency policies and standards for client rights and confidentiality.

Performs other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION:

Masters’ degree in a clinical field (social work, counseling) preferred.

Licensed Chemical Dependency Professional (LCDP) from RI DOH in good standing.

EXPERIENCE:

At least 3 years experience working with in a behavioral health or human service setting.

At least 1 year experience in developing or overseeing behavioral health programs required.

Personal vehicle to allow travel between sites during work day, and ability to qualify for agency liability insurance.

Pay Range:

$64,480.00-$106,412.80
