What you will do:

  • Administer and optimize the organization’s governance, risk, and compliance platform, Optro, maintaining control documentation, testing activities, deficiencies, and reporting while using system functionality and data to automate processes, improve reporting, support risk assessments, and inform stakeholder decisions.
  • Plan, execute, monitor, and review compliance and control testing across business functions and processes, evaluating control design and operating effectiveness, identifying gaps or deficiencies, and ensuring alignment with company methodologies and professional standards.
  • Develop and oversee practical, sustainable remediation plans with control owners, tracking corrective actions, validating their effectiveness, facilitating root-cause and risk-mitigation discussions, and escalating risks, delays, and unresolved issues as appropriate.
  • Maintain and improve narratives, process flowcharts, risk and control matrices, and related documentation so that they accurately reflect current processes and controls, while streamlining controls, eliminating redundancies, reducing testing burden, and strengthening control effectiveness without compromising compliance objectives or risk coverage.
  • Manage multiple concurrent and internal controls projects from initiation through completion, including project planning, milestone and dependency tracking, leadership reporting, cross-functional coordination, accountability for deliverables, and alignment among Cytiva Sarbanes-Oxley teams, Danaher Internal Audit, and external auditors to reduce duplicated testing and improve reliance across assurance providers.

Who you are:

  • Experience in internal controls, internal audit, or external audit.
  • Experience managing multiple projects, priorities, and stakeholder groups.

  • Knowledge of internal control frameworks, including the Committee of Sponsoring Organizations of the Treadway Commission framework (including narratives, process flowcharts, and risk and control matrices).
  • Experience in performing or reviewing Sarbanes-Oxley Act control testing and documentation would be a plus.

Preferred experience

  • Experience administering or supporting a GRC platform, preferably Optro.
  • Experience working with multinational organizations and shared service environments.
  • Professional certifications such as CPA, CIA, CISA, PMP, or equivalent.
  • Experience driving SOX optimization initiatives, including testing rationalization and reliance strategies.
