 PURPOSE 

• Support external perceptions that will position FWD as a technology leader through leading and ensuring the operation\implementation\testing processes are automated. 

• Build best practices to apply automation solution for each platform, include but not limit to Web\Mobile\Windows Apps\AS400. Working closely with the respective users or development team leads and application owners to centralize automation strategy. 

• Direct the strategic of testing and processing automation, include end-to-end testing solution, each platform automation frameworks, delivery standard, programming standard and maintenance procedure. 

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES 

• Analyze, evaluate and develop the automation strategies and plans to ensure our testing automation service is aligned with the business objectives 

• Co-ordinate each automation project teams to standardize automation development and deliveries. 

• Monitor and ensure all testing & automation tasks are complete in time and with high-quality. 

• Prepare and submit recruitment demand to seek qualified resources for project needs. 

• Measure and monitor progress to ensure testing automation releases are delivered on time and within user expectations or exceed expectations 

• Research and introduce in new automation technology or testing platform to keep CTC automation service are always at the forefront of the industry. 

• Lead the automation project team to achieve BU project needs and objectives; resolve issues escalated from BU or group IT. 

• Present and promote Testing Automation Service to BU or relevant parties.

• Make FWD to be the industry leading TCO (total cost of ownership) 

• 85% automation of software delivery 

• 70% reuse of enablers across all software products (APIs, reference architecture, components, design patterns, code)  

• Execute the Quality assurance automation strategy to deliver quality services 

• Develop long-term automation strategy to ensure Automation Testing is aligned with the business objectives and timelines. 

• Less effort spent on provisioning through increased automation 

• Build innovative, higher quality software, Automation scripts much faster and cheaper 

• Provide automation solution for IT projects or BU operation to speed up progress and ensure quality.

QUALIFICATIONS / EXPERIENCE 

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology or related disciplines 

• Over 6 years of testing management with automation experience, insurance industry is preferred 

• Solid experience with testing management, resource management and task arrangement 

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English with the ability to effectively tailor communication of technical issues to various audiences 

• Ability to manage and coach the team on a day-to-day basis. 

• Ability to work under pressure and to handle tight deadlines.  

• Self-motivated and able to lead a team to deliver efficient and quality results 

KNOWLEDGE & TECHNICAL SKILLS 

• Understand the business process flows, dependencies & interconnectedness of IT applications, able to formulate effective test strategies, test suites & drive automation. 

• Strong experience in IT QA framework, familiar with each types of testing automation solution 

• Extensive experience in managing test cycles with track record of quality delivery.   

• Extensive experience in requirements traceability and defining test scenarios and test scripts. 

• Good communication skills at all levels of business users, IT, partners and vendors
