About this Loan Processor / Broker Assistant (AU - Remote) Dayshift role at D2B
Position : Loan Processor / Broker Assistant
Salary :
Working Hours & Conditions : TBC
Holidays : TBC
Employment: Full-time - Independent Contractor
ABOUT THE COMPANY:
The client is a trusted finance and mortgage broking business based in Kogarah, NSW. They work with clients across Australia to help them secure the right loan for their needs, whether they are buying their first home, upgrading, refinancing, or building an investment portfolio.
ROLE OVERVIEW:
The client is a mortgage broking business led by an experienced principal broker operating within the Finsure aggregator network, helping clients across Australia access home loans, refinancing and investment lending from a panel of 40+ lenders. The client is looking for a dedicated Loan Processor/Broker Assistant to own the administrative and processing side of each loan file, so they can stay focused on client conversations, deal structuring, and business growth.
The initial focus of this role is on the core loan processing workflow: pricing requests, valuations, data entry into Apply Online (AOL), and pre-filling templated loan submissions ready for the client’s review. As the working relationship develops and trust builds, there is scope for the role to grow toward a para-broker level of responsibility — taking on more of the deal structuring and serviceability work — though this is a longer-term possibility rather than part of the initial scope, as strong para-broker candidates are in high demand and this role is intended to start at the processor/assistant level.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Loan Processing & Submission Support (Primary Focus)
● Prepare and lodge pricing requests with lenders on the clients’ behalf
● Order and track valuations, following up with lenders/valuers to keep files moving
● Accurately enter and maintain client and loan data in Apply Online (AOL)
● Pre-fill templated loan submissions ready for the clients’ review and sign-off before lodgement
● Track application progress, chase outstanding conditions, and keep files moving toward approval and settlement
● Follow up on clients' outstanding documents
● Communicate proactively with clients, lenders and other stakeholders to resolve issues before they become blockers
● Maintain accurate, up-to-date records across the clients’ systems
Para-Broker Pathway (Future Growth)
● As capability and trust build, take on greater responsibility for deal structuring, serviceability assessment and scenario preparation
● Support the client in reviewing more complex files and preparing recommendations, moving toward a para- broker level of involvement over time
General Admin & Business Support
● Keep client files and documentation organised and easily accessible for the client
● Support outreach to existing clients (e.g. refinance opportunities) as directed
● Take on ad hoc administrative tasks to reduce the clients’ day-to-day workload
Requirements
Non-negotiable
● Hands-on experience with Apply Online (AOL) for residential loan submissions
● Solid understanding of the Australian residential mortgage process, end-to-end, including pricing requests and valuations
● Excellent spoken and written English, with the confidence to speak directly with Australian
clients, lenders and valuers by phone and video call
● Minimum years of experience. Something like 2+ years
● Comfortable preparing templated loan submissions accurately and efficiently
Strong Plus
● Prior experience working directly with an Australian mortgage broker (rather than only a brokerage back office)
● Experience within the Finsure aggregator network or a similar aggregator platform
● Early exposure to para-broking tasks (serviceability assessment, Experience in Quickli deal structuring) — not required now, but relevant to the future growth path of this role
Soft Skills & Working Style
The client is looking for someone who drives the process rather than waiting to be driven. This is just as important as the technical skill set.
● Proactive and confident — owns each file end to end without needing constant direction
● Flags missing documentation and chases clients directly, without waiting to be asked
● Escalates blockers early, rather than letting a file stall
● Comfortable simplifying workflows — e.g., consolidating multiple emails into a single, efficient update
rather than sending several separate messages
● Reliable and detail-oriented, with strong written communication in English
