Your opportunity

As a valued Lifestyle Carer at Anglicare Sydney, you will design and deliver engaging lifestyle programs that promote social interaction, emotional wellbeing, and a sense of purpose to our residents.

With kindness and understanding, you will:

  • Facilitate group and individual activities tailored to residents’ interests and abilities 
  • Support residents to maintain independence and dignity through meaningful engagement 
  • Learn residents’ life stories, interests and goals to inform personalised activities.
  • Work with residents, families and care teams to support holistic care plans. 
  • Communicate activity calendars and evaluate programs to improve resident outcomes. 
  • Follow safety, quality and aged care requirements. 

What you’ll bring 

You are warm, creative and organised, with a genuine interest in enriching the lives of older people. You communicate well, build trusting relationships and enjoy working as part of a care team. You share our values of integrity, justice, compassion and excellence. 

What’s required:

  • Certificate IV in Leisure and Health, or Bachelors of Diploma in Health Science or Community Services
  • NDIS Worker Screening Check
  • Current First Aid Certificate

What’s preferred:

  • Experience in aged care or a similar care setting. 
  • Knowledge of aged care quality and accreditation requirements. 
  • Experience planning or facilitating lifestyle activities.
