Industrial Painter & Material Handler

Shifts: 1st and 2nd Shift Available
Pay: Up to $23.00/hour, depending on experience
2nd Shift Differential: Additional $3.00/hour
Job Overview
Seeking a hands-on Industrial Painter & Material Handler to support daily shop production. Industrial painting accounts for approximately 20% of the role, with the remaining time focused on material handling, rigging, equipment operation, and general production tasks.
Responsibilities
Prepare surfaces and apply industrial coatings using proper painting techniques.
Operate overhead cranes and forklifts to move, load, unload, stage, and position materials.
Perform rigging for materials and equipment.
Use tape measures and other measuring tools accurately.
Assist with production activities and tasks across different shop areas.
Complete required respiratory fit testing and follow PPE, chemical-handling, and workplace safety procedures.
Requirements
Experience with industrial or production painting and coating application.
Experience operating overhead cranes, forklifts, or similar material-handling equipment.
Knowledge of rigging, load handling, and safe loading/unloading practices.
Ability to read and use a tape measure accurately.
Ability to pass a respiratory fit test.
Understanding of industrial safety procedures, PPE, and chemical handling.
Strong organization, multitasking, and communication skills.
Ability to work independently, collaborate with a team, and perform varied production duties beyond painting.
