CNC Structural Steel Machine Operator

Shift: 2nd Shift
Starting Pay: $22.00/hour, with higher pay available depending on experience
2nd Shift Differential: Additional $3.00/hour
Job Overview
Operate CNC coping and cutting equipment to process structural steel beams, columns, channels, and other components. This role involves machine setup, material handling, quality checks, and meeting production deadlines.
Responsibilities
Set up and operate CNC coping and cutting machines.
Read and interpret structural steel shop drawings, blueprints, and dimensions.
Load and unload steel materials using overhead cranes and forklifts.
Perform programmed coping, cutting, drilling, and other machining operations.
Inspect completed parts using tape measures, calipers, squares, and other measuring tools.
Change tooling, make basic machine adjustments, troubleshoot issues, and perform routine maintenance.
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
Requirements
At least 2 years of CNC machine operation experience.
CNC coping machine or beam line experience strongly preferred.
Structural steel fabrication experience preferred.
Ability to read blueprints and shop drawings.
Experience with machine setup, tooling changes, and basic CNC troubleshooting.
Proficiency with tape measures, calipers, squares, and other measuring tools.
Experience working around overhead cranes and forklifts.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety and quality.
