About this Delivery Lead - PEGA role at Synechron
Job Description:
- Lead end-to-end delivery of complex Pega programmes and projects.
- Manage delivery scope, schedule, resources, dependencies, risks, issues and stakeholder expectations.
- Coordinate Business Architects, Solution Architects, System Architects, developers, testers, DevOps and production-support teams.
- Ensure delivery is aligned with Agile methodology, governance standards, quality expectations and contractual commitments.
- Act as the primary delivery interface between the client and implementation team.
- Drive delivery planning, sprint execution, release management and production deployment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Own project/programme delivery outcomes - scope, timeline, cost, quality and benefits.
- Prepare delivery plans, milestones, release schedules and the critical path.
- Manage scope, risks, issues and dependencies (RAID).
- Manage project resources, delivery capacity, onboarding and ramp-up/ramp-down.
- Own financials - budget forecasting, burn tracking, change control and commercial variance management.
- Facilitate governance meetings and steering committees.
- Track delivery progress and key metrics - velocity, cycle time, escaped defects.
- Coordinate architecture, development, testing and deployment activities.
- Manage change requests and delivery impacts.
- Ensure quality gates, entry/exit criteria and guardrail compliance targets are met.
- Coordinate release management, cutover planning, go-live readiness, hypercare and transition to support.
- Support estimation and commercial planning.
- Manage stakeholder, client and vendor communication and relationships.
- Escalate and resolve delivery blockers.
- Ensure appropriate documentation and governance.
- Drive continuous improvement across delivery teams through retrospectives and lessons learned.
Technical Qualification: Minimum knowledge, skills, abilities needed:
- Strong understanding of the Pega implementation lifecycle and Pega Express delivery.
- Understanding of Pega architecture, development and testing processes.
- Strong Agile/Scrum knowledge; SAFe or scaled Agile exposure.
- Experience with Jira/Azure DevOps or equivalent tools; Pega Agile Studio exposure.
- Strong knowledge of project planning and delivery governance.
- Understanding of CI/CD and release management.
- Strong risk, dependency and issue management skills.
- Financial and commercial management - budget, forecast and change control.
- Strong stakeholder-management and communication skills.
- Understanding of cloud and enterprise technology environments.
Educational Qualification:
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology or Business Administration.
- MBA or equivalent postgraduate management qualification preferred.
Preferred Qualification:
- 10+ years of IT experience.
- 5+ years managing Pega/technology programmes.
- PMP, PRINCE2 Practitioner, SAFe Agilist or equivalent certification (mandatory baseline).
- Agile certification - CSM, PSM I/II or SAFe Scrum Master.
- Certified Pega Business Architect (CPBA) is preferred.
- Certified Pega System Architect (CPSA / CSA) is preferred.
- SAFe Release Train Engineer (RTE) or SAFe Program Consultant (SPC).
- PgMP; ITIL v4 Foundation for support transition.
- Experience managing large-scale enterprise transformation programmes.
- Experience managing multiple workstreams and teams of 20+.
- Experience with client governance and executive reporting.
- Experience with fixed-price, T&M and managed-service commercial models.
- Experience of multi-vendor and distributed/offshore delivery.
- Financial services/insurance experience is advantageous.
- Experience in commercial management and pre-sales is an added advantage.
