The Department of Jewish Studies is inviting applications to teach a course in winter 2027. Please complete the online application form and upload required documents. Applications will be ranked according to the collective agreement between McGill University and the MCLIU. Preference will be given to the qualified applicant with the most priority points. JWST 350– Major Jewish Authors

This course focuses on the life and works of a single author. It offers analytical depth as well as an historical contextualization within the era in which this figure lived and worked. We will note also the major influences on this author, and his or her impact on others of the same time period and beyond. Topics vary from year to year.

 

January 5 – April 14, 2027: Tuesday & Thursday (10:05 - 11:25)

Teaching Qualification Requirements:

Education: Advanced academic degree in literary analysis with expertise in Jewish Studies.

Experience: Expertise in teaching literary analysis at the highest academic levels; expertise in English and Jewish literature and literary history.


This course will be taught by one instructor in-person.
