Course description:
Earth system science examines the complex interactions among the atmosphere, biosphere, geosphere and hydrosphere. It focuses on physical, chemical, and biological processes that extend over spatial scales ranging from microns to the size of planetary orbits, and spans time scales from fractions of a second to billions of years.
Job Description:
The course comprises thirteen weeks of teaching, with two 1.5-hour lectures class every week. The instructor will be responsible for teaching lectures, creating and marking exams (including a final exam), meeting with students, and managing teaching assistants for the course. TA support is based on enrolment, forecast at 125 students for Winter 2027.
Teaching Qualification Requirements:
We seek an instructor with a PhD in Earth Sciences or other similar field and prior teaching experience in geology, atmospheric and ocean sciences, or physical geography at the university level.
