Are you a passionate kitchen leader with a love for high-energy hospitality? The Merrywell is searching for an experienced Chef de Cuisine to lead one of Perth's busiest kitchens, driving exceptional food quality while thriving in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
This is an outstanding opportunity to take ownership of a dynamic kitchen operation where speed, consistency and quality are equally important. You'll lead a large culinary team, inspire performance, and help shape the next chapter of one of Crown Perth's most popular venues.
What You'll Be Doing
- Leading all day-to-day kitchen operations across a high-volume bistro and brewery environment
- Driving food quality, consistency and service standards during peak trading periods
- Coaching, mentoring and developing Sous Chefs, Chef de Parties, Commis Chefs and Cooks
- Managing labour, rostering, food costs, ordering and operational performance
- Collaborating with venue leadership to maximise guest satisfaction and business results
- Contributing to menu development, innovation and seasonal offerings
About You
- Proven experience as a Chef de Cuisine, Head Chef or senior kitchen leader within a busy hospitality operation
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to build, inspire and develop high-performing teams
- American-style BBQ experience and smoking expertise will be highly regarded
- Experience within a busy bistro, brewery or high-volume restaurant environment is highly desirable
- Ability to deliver exceptional food standards while maintaining speed of service during peak periods
- Strong commercial acumen with experience managing labour, food costs and operational performance
- Trade qualified Chef with completed apprenticeship, or relevant Culinary Qualification
