The Role

We are looking for a talented and driven Chef de Partie to join our in-house Catering team and support the delivery of exceptional dining experiences for our employees and clients.  This is a full-time, permanent role based in Perth.  Ordinary working hours will be Monday to Friday, 7:00am to 3:30pm, however some flexibility to work evenings or weekends may be required on occasion.


The Chef de Partie will work collaboratively with the broader Catering team across day-to-day kitchen operations, ensuring that our dining and catering services are executed to the highest standards. This is a hands-on role that will involve cooking, food preparation, menu planning, and maintaining a safe, efficient, and positive kitchen environment.

Key Responsibilities Include:

  • Assist in the preparation of food for:
    • Client functions and events
    • Staff events, including morning and afternoon teas
    • Working lunches
    • Our on-site café
       
  • Assist in the preparation of menus for all meals and catered events
  • Mentor and train kitchen staff, ensuring smooth and efficient food production
  • Ensure food is prepared and presented according to company standards, while maintaining consistency and quality
  • Oversee kitchen hygiene, cleanliness, and compliance with WA health and safety regulations
  • Monitor and maintain kitchen equipment, inventory, and stock levels
  • Manage food waste and maintain cost-effective operations
  • Assist with online ordering, invoicing and pricing
  • Step in for the Sous Chef when required, ensuring seamless kitchen operations

Skills & Experience

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • Relevant hospitality/culinary qualification
  • 3 years full time employment experience in a fine dining, corporate or catering environment
  • Passion for producing high quality, well-presented food
  • Strong knowledge of day-to-day kitchen operations (including invoicing) and unwavering adherence to food safety, hygiene and allergen protocols
  • Strong work ethic and an ability to remain calm under pressure
  • Excellent team work skills
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Excellent writing and oral communication skills
