About the role:

Our Brisbane Restructuring & Recovery team is growing, and we are looking for an experienced Assistant Manager to play a key role in delivering insolvency, restructuring and recovery engagements while supporting the development of junior team members.


Your Opportunity:

As an Assistant Manager, you'll work across a diverse range of corporate and personal insolvency matters, taking ownership of smaller engagements while assisting with the planning and delivery of more complex appointments. You'll have the opportunity to work closely with senior leaders, build your professional network, and develop your technical expertise in a supportive and collaborative environment.


What You'll Be Doing:

  • Managing and conducting a variety of corporate and personal insolvency engagements
  • Interviewing directors, bankrupts and key stakeholders
  • Assisting with business trade-on appointments, including budgeting and forecasting
  • Liaising with lawyers, agents, auctioneers and other external stakeholders
  • Coordinating and overseeing asset realisation processes
  • Monitoring statutory deadlines and ensuring compliance requirements are met
  • Reviewing the work of junior team members and providing coaching and guidance
  • Identifying and resolving complex technical and operational issues
  • Maintaining accurate records within firm systems and processes
  • Sharing technical knowledge, industry insights and best practices across the team

About you:

You will be a proactive and technically capable insolvency professional who enjoys building relationships and mentoring others.


Ideally, you'll have:

  • 4-6 years' experience within Restructuring & Recovery, Insolvency or a related professional services environment
  • A Business, Commerce or Accounting degree, or a Law degree with an interest in insolvency
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving abilities
  • The ability to work autonomously while contributing to a high-performing team
  • Experience supervising or mentoring junior team members

Highly regarded:

  • CA qualification (or equivalent) for accounting professionals
  • ARITA Advanced Certification
  • Involvement in technical insolvency forums, training or industry networks
  • Strong business development and networking capabilities
