More about the role:
Burson India is looking to hire a Account Manager in Mumbai location for TOSB (The Outstanding Speakers Bureau) team. As a Marketing/Social Media Account Manager at Burson, you will be required to take responsibility and own client/speaker relationships, including playing a leading role in developing effective marketing programs for Burson. The Account Manager will be responsible for social media execution and management, advanced influencer / bloggers/speaker outreach, and play a role in new business development.

What you'll do:
Client Service:
- Ability to draft high quality and complex materials with minimal assistance.
- Develops and reviews materials (e.g., social media posts, creatives) and ensures Burson quality standards are upheld.
- Drafts materials on complex issues (e.g., blog posts)
- Drafts Case Studies
- Develops strong rapport with influencers/bloggers and identifies news angles and opportunities to meet their needs.
- Keeps abreast of the latest developments in social media and leverages social media to develop integrated client campaigns.
- Online Media monitoring for crisis and issues clients
Business Development:
- Be an active listener during client meetings. Every client meeting can lead to opportunities to grow existing relationships.
- Stay updated on social media and other channels for opportunities and convey them to the senior team members for possible new business opportunities.
- Assist the senior members in developing case studies and new business proposals.
Talent Management:
- Coach and mentor junior team members and help them grow within the organization and are able to add value to the client and the team.
- Create an inclusive and welcoming environment that engages all individuals without bias and demonstrate flexibility in a changing work environment.
- Provide on the job training to new team members on day-to-day tasks, delegate tasks to junior team members with clarity and oversee quality implementation within specified timelines.
- Provide continuous constructive feedback, keep immediate superiors briefed on team member performance ensuring recognition of good performance and resolution of concerns in a timely manner.
Financial Management:
- Ensure all marketing activities are properly documented and budget and status reports are submitted.
- Follow agency procedures for client budgets, budget tracking, contract approval and billing rates and allocate resources for agency profitability.
- Manage vendor relationships, costs, and invoicing.
Agency Responsibilities:
- Use Burson’s intranet and resources; keep your profile updated.
- Adhere to Burson’s confidentiality and disclosure agreements and code of ethics/conduct.
Experience that contributes to success:
- Graduate with 4 - 5 years of work experience and have a good background in marketing,client servicing, operations and sales. Any experience working in a Speaker Bureau will be a plus.
