Position Overview:
Greenlife Healthcare Staffing is currently seeking a Women's Health Nurse Practitioner (WHNP) to fill an opening with a multi-specialty practice located in the Bronx, New York. This is a flexible float role providing coverage across multiple locations as needed due to call-outs, vacations, and other staffing needs. Note: This position does not involve deliveries.
Requirements
Qualifications:
- Education: Master’s degree in Nursing from an accredited Women's Health Nurse Practitioner program.
- Licensure: Must have an active New York State Nurse Practitioner license. Must be Board Certified as a Women's Health Nurse Practitioner (WHNP).
- Experience: Must have at least 1 year of experience in women's health as a Nurse Practitioner. Note: This position does not involve deliveries.
- Additional Note: Seeking an experienced WHNP for a flexible float role, providing coverage across multiple locations as needed due to call-outs, vacations, and other staffing needs.
- Technical Skills: Proficient in performing annual well-woman exams, family planning counseling, STI diagnosis and management, and managing perimenopause and menopause symptoms. Experience with electronic health records.
- Soft Skills: Strong clinical judgment, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, empathy, cultural competence, flexibility, and the ability to adapt to different practice locations and patient populations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Educate patients about women's health issues.
- Perform annual exams and provide well-woman care.
- Help women with family planning and selecting birth control.
- Offer care during perimenopause and menopause.
- Diagnose and help patients manage sexually transmitted diseases
