Über diese Vice President, Front Office Program Manager - Asset Management Stelle bei Antares Capital

Antares Capital · Vor Ort · Chicago

The Asset Management Platforms & Data Services team is a critical part of Antares, partnering across the organization to deliver technology, data and operational capabilities that support investment, investor and business processes.

The Vice President, Front Office Asset Management Program Manager is a senior leadership role responsible for driving complex, cross-functional transformation and strategic initiatives across business, technology and data. Reporting to the SVP, Group Lead, Asset Management Platforms & Data Services, this individual operates at the intersection of front office investment teams and the technology and data organization — serving both equally and credibly. The role requires a strong, hands-on operator who can move comfortably between strategy and execution, bring structure to ambiguous problems, mobilize multidisciplinary teams, drive decisions and dependencies, and maintain momentum through delivery. This individual will partner closely with portfolio management, investment operations, and business technology leaders to translate strategic priorities into coordinated execution, adoption, and measurable business outcomes. The role will also leverage AI-enabled approaches, automation, and emerging technologies to accelerate execution and scale organizational capacity. The VP will lead emerging strategic priorities that require horizontal leadership across organizational boundaries.

Responsibilities

  • Lead complex, cross-functional transformation and strategic initiatives from initial problem framing through implementation, adoption and measurable outcomes.
  • Translate strategic objectives into executable plans with clear priorities, sequencing, milestones, dependencies, decision points and accountable owners.
  • Mobilize and lead integrated business and technology teams around defined outcomes, establishing effective operating cadences and clear accountability.
  • Coordinate execution across business stakeholders, technology, data, architecture, data governance, quality and other enterprise capabilities while preserving functional ownership.
  • Identify and resolve cross-functional dependencies, risks and execution barriers; elevate decisions requiring senior leadership intervention with clear options and recommendations.
  • Partner with initiative leaders to define success measures and appropriate baselines, and drive accountability for delivery, adoption, value realization and measurable business outcomes.
  • Identify and apply AI-enabled approaches, automation, and emerging technologies to accelerate delivery, scale organizational capacity, and establish repeatable practices that improve business processes and outcomes.
  • Drive effective coordination across internal teams and strategic delivery partners, ensuring resources are aligned to priorities and outcomes.
  • Provide concise, decision-oriented communications to senior stakeholders on progress, risks, dependencies, outcomes and required actions.
  • Lead emerging strategic initiatives that require cross-functional coordination, problem solving, judgment and execution leadership.

Qualifications

The successful candidate will bring a demonstrated track record of personally driving complex initiatives from strategy through execution and measurable business outcomes. This role requires more than transformation oversight or program governance; candidates should be able to demonstrate where they have taken ownership, worked through execution challenges and delivered tangible value to the organization.

Required:

  • Bachelor's degree in business, finance, technology, engineering, data or a related field.
  • 10+ years of relevant experience, including significant experience leading complex technology, data, operating model or business transformation initiatives.
  • Demonstrated success personally leading cross-functional initiatives across organizational boundaries and influencing stakeholders from problem definition through implementation, adoption and measurable value realization without relying solely on direct reporting authority.
  • Strong business acumen with the ability to connect technology and data investments to business objectives and measurable outcomes.
  • Exceptional communication skills — written, verbal, and executive presence — with demonstrated ability to translate complex, multi-dimensional issues into clear narratives, decisions, and actions tailored to C-suite, business, and technical audiences.
  • Demonstrated experience applying AI, automation or emerging technologies to improve business processes, accelerate delivery or create measurable organizational value.
  • Experience leading multidisciplinary teams and coordinating internal and external delivery partners.
  • Experience within private markets, private credit, alternative asset management or a closely related investment-management environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to operate with a high degree of autonomy — setting direction, managing competing priorities, and driving initiatives forward without requiring close supervision or frequent escalation for routine decisions.

Preferred:

  • Experience with enterprise data, analytics, workflow, technology platforms or technology-enabled operating-model transformation.
  • Experience in management consulting, technology consulting, internal strategy/transformation, or a comparable role requiring a highly consultative approach to solving complex business problems.
  • Experience and background in buy-side financial technology industry.
  • Prior experience supporting, partnering with, or embedded within a buy-side portfolio management, investment operations, or front office team not just working adjacent to one.
  • Advanced degree or relevant professional certification.

Skills

This role requires combination of strategic thinking and hands-on execution capability. The successful candidate must be equally comfortable framing an executive-level problem, working through the underlying details with delivery teams, and personally driving the actions required to move an initiative forward.

  • Strong analytical, problem-structuring and agile problem-solving skills; able to quickly frame ambiguous issues, test assumptions, adapt as new information emerges and translate problems into executable paths forward.
  • Strong practical fluency with AI-enabled tools and approaches, including the ability to identify opportunities to augment individual and team capacity, accelerate problem solving and embed AI into the scalable business and delivery processes.
  • Technology and data fluency sufficient to operate credibly across engineering, architecture, data, analytics, workflow and platform teams.
  • Hands-on execution orientation with the ability and willingness to work directly through problems, decisions, and deliverables rather than operating solely through governance or oversight.
  • Ability to rapidly learn unfamiliar business and technology domains, identify what matters and translate that understanding into action.
  • Strong ability to create momentum – converting ambiguity into structure, structure into decisions and decisions into execution.
  • Exceptional stakeholder management, influencing and executive communication skills.
  • Strong prioritization, decision-making and execution discipline in complex environments.
  • Ability to move fluidly between strategic framing and detailed execution as circumstances require.
  • Strong consultative skills, with the ability to understand business needs, challenge assumptions constructively, develop pragmatic solutions and partner with stakeholders through implementation and successful outcomes.
  • Ability to connect delivery activity to adoption, business value and measurable outcomes.
  • Strong written and verbal communication, including executive-level presentations and decision materials.
  • Working knowledge of private credit investment processes, loan lifecycle, and portfolio monitoring workflows sufficient to engage credibly with portfolio management and investment operations teams — and to quickly identify where technology and data can drive meaningful improvements.
  • Ability to lead organizational change and manage adoption — including building stakeholder readiness, managing resistance, and sustaining engagement through multi-phase transformation.
  • Ability to sustain composure, credibility, and forward momentum in high-pressure, high-ambiguity environments with competing executive priorities — bringing calm, structured thinking when the stakes are highest.

Competencies

The successful candidate will bring a highly proactive, ownership-oriented leadership style with a strong bias towards action and urgency. They will be intellectually curious, proactive in identifying where they can create value, motivated by complex challenges and committed to serving business partners through practical outcomes rather than process for its own sake.

  • Leadership: Creates clarity and momentum across multidisciplinary teams and holds stakeholders accountable for shared outcomes.
  • Business & Commercial Awareness: Understands business priorities and evaluates transformation opportunities through the lens of value, scalability, risk and operating leverage.
  • Judgment & Decision Making: Exercises sound judgment in ambiguous situations, identifies the decisions that matter and drives them to resolution.
  • Influence & Collaboration: Builds credibility across functions and levels and can align stakeholders without formal authority.
  • Ownership & Accountability: Takes responsibility for outcomes, follows through on commitments and proactively addresses barriers to execution.
  • Adaptability & Agility: Moves effectively across different problems, domains and levels of detail; learns quickly, adapts approach as circumstances change and can be deployed against evolving strategic priorities. Maintains steady, composed leadership under pressure — projecting confidence and structure even in ambiguous or fast-moving situations.
  • Problem Solving: Synthesizes complex information, challenges assumptions and develops pragmatic solutions.
  • Communication: Communicates with clarity, confidence, and precision across executive, business and technical audiences — turning complex, multi-layered topics into compelling narratives that drive understanding and action. Equally effective in a boardroom briefing, a written memo, and a working session with delivery teams.
  • Integrity: Demonstrates sound judgment, discretion and high ethical standards — particularly in sensitive, high-stakes situations involving senior leaders, business partners, and confidential information. Earns trust through consistent, principled behavior and transparency.
