The Role

As a Veeam Backup & Recovery Administrator at Kyndryl, you’ll be responsible for the administration and operation of Veeam Backup & Replication platforms within enterprise environments. In this role, you support backup, recovery, and continuity services that protect business‑critical data and ensure operational resilience.

You will design, implement, and support backup and recovery strategies, monitor backup jobs, troubleshoot failures, and participate in disaster recovery planning and testing. Your work is essential to maintain data availability, service continuity, and compliance with operational standards and SLAs.

Key Responsibilities

• Administer and operate Veeam Backup & Replication platforms in production environments.

• Design, implement, and support backup, restore, and recovery strategies to ensure data protection.

• Monitor backup jobs, analyze failures, and perform troubleshooting to resolve issues.

• Support business continuity and disaster recovery plans, including recovery testing and audits.

• Maintain operational documentation and ensure compliance with SLAs and internal standards.

Who You Are

You’re good at what you do and bring hands‑on experience supporting backup and recovery platforms. You are detail‑oriented, proactive in resolving issues, and comfortable working in operational environments that require reliability, documentation, and adherence to service commitments. You collaborate effectively with technical teams and contribute to stable and resilient service delivery.

Required Skills and Experience

• 6+ months of hands‑on experience working with backup and recovery platforms.

• Experience administering and operating Veeam Backup & Replication platforms.

• Knowledge of backup, restore, replication, and recovery processes in production environments.

• Ability to monitor jobs, analyze failures, and troubleshoot backup issues.

Preferred Skills and Experience

• Experience supporting disaster recovery plans (DRP) and continuity testing.

• Familiarity with storage platforms used for backup (local, SAN, NAS, or object storage).

• Experience with patching, upgrades, and hardening of backup platforms.

• Intermediate English proficiency preferred for technical documentation and collaboration with global teams.
