What will you do?

A day in the life of a Merchandiser, Men's Tees & Fleece at Vans looks a little like this.The Merchandiser, Men's Tees & Fleece supports the creation and execution of regionally relevant product and assortment strategies for the Men's Apparel business across the Americas. Working closely with Global Merchandising and regional Planning, Sales, Marketing, Visual Merchandising, Digital, and Retail Operations teams, this role brings a strong understanding of the consumer, competitive landscape, marketplace dynamics, and category performance to help deliver the right product in the right marketplace at the right time. The role supports seasonal assortment development, regional relevance, and commercial performance for the Tees & Fleece sub-category and reports to the Merchandising Manager, Men's Apparel.

• Support pre-season and long-range planning for Men's Tees & Fleece, helping identify marketplace opportunities and build curated assortments across direct-to-consumer and marketplace channels.
• Partner in the development and maintenance of regional line architecture, assortment strategies, marketplace segmentation, and in-region pricing within global guidelines.
• Analyze sales, inventory, consumer demand, competitive activity, and marketplace trends to identify opportunities and support seasonal and in-season product decisions.
• Partner with regional Planning and cross-functional teams to monitor category performance, support financial targets, and recommend actions related to product flow, promotions, and markdowns within established guidelines.
• Represent the regional needs of Men's Tees & Fleece by providing clear feedback to Global Merchandising on assortment gaps, regional opportunities, customer-specific needs, and marketplace relevance.

What do you need to succeed?

We all have unique skills that we bring to work and celebrate every day. For this role, there are foundation skills you'll need to succeed and excel. Additionally, while formal education in a related field is great to have, we are most interested in your 3-5+ years of experience and professional achievements.

The foundation skills you will need in this position are:

• Merchandising experience within apparel, footwear, retail, or a related consumer-led industry, with an understanding of seasonal assortment development and marketplace execution.
• Strong analytical and retail math skills, with the ability to interpret sales, inventory, margin, sell-through, and consumer data across channels and market segments.
• A strong understanding of men's apparel, style, color, consumer trends, and competitive activity, with particular interest in Tees & Fleece.
• A collaborative working style and the ability to build effective partnerships across Global and Regional merchandising, Planning, Sales, Marketing, Visual Merchandising, Digital, and Retail Operations teams.
• Strong communication, organization, and time-management skills, with the ability to manage multiple seasonal priorities and deliver accurate work on time.

There are also a few skills that are not required but preferred.

• Experience working across wholesale, owned retail, and digital channels.
• Experience with assortment planning, product lifecycle tools, competitive benchmarking, or in-season category management.
