About the Role
The Total Rewards Consultant acts as the primary Total Rewards partner forMediCard. This role is responsible for ensuring that Total Rewards programs are
effectively implemented, administered, and aligned with both enterprise
frameworks and the specific needs of the assigned entity. The role combines
strategic advisory with strong operational execution, enabling competitive,
compliant, and data-driven reward decisions.
Roles and Responsibilities:
Business Partnership
- Serve as the main Total Rewards point of contact for the assigned entity, partnering closely with HR Business Partners, HR CoEs, and business leaders.
- Provide expert guidance on compensation, benefits, and reward-related matters to support talent attraction, retention, and engagement.
- Translate enterprise Total Rewards strategy into actionable plans tailored to the entity’s business context. Compensation Management
- Lead compensation planning and execution for the entity, including salary reviews, promotions, off-cycle adjustments, and incentive programs.
- Review and validate salary proposals to ensure alignment with internal equity, salary structures, and Total Rewards guidelines.
- Perform job evaluations for the entity in partnership with the HRBP.
- Provide insights and recommendations based on compensation analytics, trends, and business needs.
Benchmarking & Market Competitiveness
- Oversee benchmarking activities for the entity, including job matching, survey participation, and market analysis.
- Interpret market data and provide guidance on pay positioning and competitiveness.
- Maintain updated benchmarking and compensation reference data to support decision-making.
Data, Reporting & Analytics
- Oversee the preparation and validation of compensation and benefits reports for the entity.
- Ensure data integrity across systems and reports, collaborating with HRIS and HR Operations where needed.
Governance & Compliance
- Ensure Total Rewards practices within the entity comply with internal policies, governance frameworks, and relevant regulatory requirements.
- Support audits, reviews, and documentation related to compensation and benefits processes.
- Identify and mitigate risks related to pay practices, data accuracy, and program implementation. Operational Excellence & Process Improvement
- Drive operational efficiency in Total Rewards processes, including data management, reporting, and workflow coordination.
- Identify opportunities for process improvement and automation within the entity’s Total Rewards activities.
- Support change management and communication efforts related to Total Rewards initiatives.
Benefits Vendor Management
- Oversee the end‑to-end HMO renewal process for the entity, ensuring timely evaluation, negotiation, and implementation of annual benefits programs.
- Manage relationships with HMO providers and other benefits vendors, ensuring service quality, contract compliance, and alignment with organizational needs.
- Coordinate with internal stakeholders to address vendor performance issues and support continuous improvement of benefits offerings.
Minimum Job Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, Finance, Economics, or a related field.
- Demonstrated experience managing or supporting Total Rewards programs at a business unit or entity level.
- Strong working knowledge of compensation structures, job evaluation, incentives, and benefits administration.
- Strong stakeholder management and business partnering skills.
- Analytical mindset with the ability to translate data into actionable insights.
- High attention to detail and strong data governance discipline.
- Advanced Excel skills; experience with HRIS and visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau) is an advantage.
- Ability to balance strategic thinking with hands-on execution.
- Strong communication skills and ability to influence decision-makers.
- Experience in a regional or global organization with matrixed structures.
- Exposure to compensation benchmarking providers (e.g., Mercer and WTW)
- Familiarity with HR platforms such as Workday.
