We are currently looking for a Technician 2 to join our team in Stanfield, AZ.
A Day in the Life:
The responsibilities listed are not intended to be an exhaustive list of all duties for this role. Additional tasks may be assigned, as needed, to support business objectives.
In this role, you will be responsible for setting up and conducting vehicle/component level testing, maintaining testing equipment and testing areas, assisting engineers with unique testing needs and any other task as requested by management.
Job functions include but are not limited to:
Instrumenting vehicles and conducting component/system level testing.
Assisting the engineering team with troubleshooting, root cause analysis and developing effective countermeasures.
Communicating accurately and professionally with technicians, engineers, and management teams.
Creating detailed technical documents to support test setup and operation.
Tracking personal progress to ensure department and corporate objectives are met.
Creating accurate, detailed test reports for submission to test engineering.
Who We’re Looking for:
Required:
- Associate degree in an automotive-related discipline preferred, plus 1 year of Test Technician experience in Lab Operations Department or equivalent. (Will consider 4 years of Test Technician experience in lieu of an associate’s degree).
- Experience with instrumentation and data collection.
- Willing to work overtime and travel as needed; the candidate must be able to work overtime on some weekends and off-shift as needed.
- Strong automotive mechanical skills, problem-solving skills, and proficient using Microsoft Office tools.
- Ability to maintain a clean and safe work area.
