Job Summary**
As a Technical Support Specialist at Becton Dickinson Global Services Centre, you will be the first point of contact for our internal and external customers, providing essential technical assistance and troubleshooting for a variety of IT-related issues. Your primary goal will be to ensure prompt resolution of problems, maintaining high levels of customer satisfaction and operational efficiency.

Job Responsibilities**
* Provide technical support and guidance to end-users via phone, email, and chat for hardware, software, and network-related issues.
* Diagnose and resolve technical problems efficiently, escalating complex issues to appropriate teams when necessary.
* Document all support interactions, including problem descriptions, troubleshooting steps taken, and resolutions in the ticketing system.
* Install, configure, and maintain computer systems, software applications, and peripherals.
* Assist with user account management, including creation, modification, and password resets.
* Conduct basic network troubleshooting and connectivity checks.
* Educate users on best practices for using IT systems and applications.
* Participate in the creation and maintenance of knowledge base articles and support documentation.
* Adhere to IT policies, procedures, and security guidelines.
* Collaborate with other IT teams to improve service delivery and resolve recurring issues.
* Perform other duties as assigned by management.

Job Qualifications**
* Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
* 1-3 years of experience in a technical support or help desk role.
* Strong understanding of Windows operating systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
* Familiarity with network fundamentals (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN).
* Experience with ticketing systems (e.g., ServiceNow, Zendesk).
* Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
* Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to explain technical concepts clearly to non-technical users.
* Customer-focused with a patient and empathetic approach.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
* Relevant IT certifications (e.g., CompTIA A+, ITIL Foundation) are a plus.
* Proficiency in English; additional language skills may be an advantage.
