Job Description:
We are seeking a motivated Systems Integration Engineer to support the deployment, integration, and evaluation of prototype applications within a dynamic technical lab environment. In this role, you will work directly with customers and engineering teams to build and maintain the infrastructure needed to develop, integrate, test, and evaluate emerging technical capabilities. The ideal candidate for this position will have strong Linux and systems administration experience, a solid understanding of networking and security, and the ability to integrate software, hardware, storage, and infrastructure technologies into reliable test environments. Required Qualifications:
- TS/SCI with polygraph security clearance.
- A Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Computer Science or a related field and five (5) years of relevant experience is required. Also acceptable are a Doctoral degree (PH.D.) and zero (0) years, a Master of Science (M.S.) degree and three (3) years, or an Associate of Science (A.S.) degree and seven (7) years of relevant experience.
- Current IAT Level I certification, such as CompTIA Security+ CE, or another applicable certification.
- Strong hands-on experience administering Linux environments.
- Experience with systems administration, network administration, application administration, IT support, or infrastructure management.
- Experience installing, configuring, and supporting physical infrastructure, including servers and network equipment.
- Experience configuring and maintaining storage solutions, including network-attached storage.
- Understanding of secure system administration practices, including Public Key Infrastructure (PKI) and certificate management.
- Experience with Unix/Linux shell scripting using Bash, Bourne, C, or similar scripting technologies.
- Strong troubleshooting skills across systems, applications, networking, and infrastructure.
Desired Qualifications:
- Experience deploying, configuring, and maintaining NGINX.
- Familiarity with Docker and containerized application environments.
- Experience with Red Hat Satellite for Linux infrastructure and lifecycle management.
- Familiarity with AWS or other cloud computing environments.
- Experience implementing Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and configuration automation using technologies such as Terraform, Salt, and Ansible.
- Experience implementing infrastructure monitoring using Prometheus and Grafana.
- Experience configuring and administering SELinux.
- Familiarity with FIPS-compliant system configurations and security requirements.
