How you’ll make an impact 

As a Student, Credit Policy Analyst, you'll gain valuable hands-on experience supporting FCC's Portfolio Risk Management team. You'll contribute to the administration and maintenance of lending forms, assist with credit policy and process management activities, support governance and documentation initiatives, and help facilitate the effective delivery of credit policy across the organization. Your work will help the team manage operational priorities, support ongoing regulatory and policy initiatives, and improve the consistency and efficiency of credit risk processes. 

You'll be part of a team that supports FCC's Portfolio and Credit Risk functions. Working alongside experienced professionals, you'll gain exposure to credit policy, process management, governance, and operational risk enablement activities. This role offers a unique opportunity to learn how lending policies, standards, forms and authorities work together to support prudent lending decisions and FCC's business objectives.

What you'll do 

• Support the administration, maintenance and quality assurance of lending forms, templates and related documentation 

• Assist with implementing and communicating updates to credit policies, standards, procedures and supporting guidance 

• Help coordinate policy governance activities, including document reviews, version control, approvals and publication processes 

• Assist with tracking action items, maintaining records and supporting project coordination activities related to Credit Risk Policy 

• Support testing, validation and implementation activities associated with lending forms, processes and system enhancements 

• Respond to internal inquiries and collaborate with business partners across FCC to support policy, process and operational objectives 

• Assist with special projects and continuous improvement initiatives supporting credit policy, process management and risk enablement  

What you’ll bring to the team 

Required qualifications: 

• Currently enrolled in, or recently completed, a bachelor's degree program in business administration, commerce, accounting, finance, agriculture, agricultural finance or a related field 

• Strong interest in credit analysis, lending, agriculture, finance or risk management 

• Ability to analyze information, identify trends and develop practical recommendations 

• Strong problem-solving, critical-thinking and decision-making abilities 

• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail 

• Effective verbal and written communication skills 

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Word and PowerPoint 

Preferred qualifications: 

• Coursework related to finance, accounting, lending, agriculture, economics, risk management, or business analysis 

• Experience gained through internships, co-op placements, volunteer work, student projects or academic research involving financial analysis or business decision-making 

• Knowledge of lending processes, credit analysis, agricultural business operations or financial statement analysis 

• Bilingualism (English and French) is an asset.
