How you’ll make an impact 

As a Brand Summer Student, you'll support FCC's Brand Planning and Advertising team by helping deliver brand programs, coordinate advertising and campaign initiatives, and contribute to activities that create a consistent and impactful brand. You'll gain hands-on experience in brand management, in-house agency operations, traditional and digital media, merchandising marketing strategy, and corporate communications while supporting work that impacts employees, customers and the Canadian agriculture and food industry.

What you'll do 

• Support the delivery of brand programs, including employee clothing, branded office experience and merchandise offerings by organizing activities, tacking inputs and preparing reports 

• Support the maintenance of core FCC brand materials, including stationery, business cards, name tags, email signatures, branded templates and trade show display assets 

• Assist with advertising and campaign coordination, delivery and monitoring by helping track timelines, deliverables, approvals, paid media details and project status  

• Organize campaign, program and channel results to support reporting, learning, impact measurement and continuous improvement 

• Monitor brand, merchandise and advertising requests, respond to inquiries and coordinate requests with internal stakeholders 

• Prepare research summaries and presentations related to brand strategy or program initiatives, advertising, target audience needs, brand and marketing trends, and brand governance best practices 

• Maintain organized records, tracking documents and program resources to support efficient team operations 

• Assist with process improvements and operational activities that support the team and internal partners 

• Collaborate with internal partners to ensure brand standards and program requirements are communicated and understood

What you’ll bring to the team 

Required qualifications: 

• Currently enrolled in a bachelor's degree program in business administration, commerce, marketing or a related field 

• Strong interest in marketing, branding, advertising, communications or customer experience 

• Excellent organizational skills with strong attention to detail 

• Strong written and verbal communication skills 

• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment 

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook 

• Strong customer service and relationship-building skills 

Preferred qualifications: 

• Previous experience through coursework, internships, co-op placements, volunteer work or student organizations related to marketing, communications, business or brand management 

• Familiarity with advertising, marketing operations, brand management or project coordination 

• Experience conducting research, preparing reports, or maintaining tracking systems 

• Bilingualism (English and French)
