Job Description:

Provides support and/or leads cross-functional teams throughout the product development lifecycle and implementation of HPE Storage products. Projects are typically shorter-term efforts with defined timelines and deliverables, while programs are generally longer-term initiatives that may span multiple functions, projects, and release activities.

Manages program activities, schedules, resource requirements, budget inputs, dependencies, risks, and cross-functional communications to support product delivery on schedule and within established business objectives. Partners with PMO leadership and cross-functional stakeholders to improve program execution, processes, and operational efficiency.

Programs may involve collaboration across Engineering, Supply Chain, Manufacturing, Services, Quality, Product Management, Finance, and Go-to-Market teams, as well as external parties such as OEM partners, suppliers, and other strategic partners.

Management Level Definition

Contributions impact technical components of HPE products, solutions, or services. Applies program management expertise to address common and complex business and execution challenges, evaluates alternatives, and exercises independent judgment to determine appropriate approaches for achieving program objectives.

Partners with Engineering, Supply Chain, Manufacturing, Services, Quality, Product Management, and other cross-functional teams to drive Storage program execution, manage dependencies and risks, resolve schedule and readiness issues, and coordinate sustaining activities.

May provide guidance and mentoring to less-experienced team members.

Responsibilities

• Report into the HPE Storage Program Management Office (PMO) within the Hybrid Cloud organization.
• Lead one or more Storage programs across cross-functional teams to deliver product, release, readiness, and service-related objectives.
• Develop and maintain integrated program schedules, key milestones, deliverables, resource plans, budget inputs, dependencies, risks, and readiness activities.
• Coordinate with internal teams and external partners to ensure alignment, track progress against program plans, and drive adjustments to schedules, milestones, priorities, or resource allocation as needed.
• Lead cross-functional program execution across Engineering, Product Management, Supply Chain, Manufacturing, Services, Quality, Finance, and Go-to-Market teams.
• Drive execution of Storage product releases, product readiness activities, sustaining initiatives, documentation, and launch support.
• Identify, track, and manage program risks, dependencies, issues, and critical-path activities, driving mitigation and resolution plans as appropriate.
• Communicate program status, milestones, risks, decisions, and escalations to stakeholders and management.
• Facilitate issue resolution and decision-making across technical, business, and partner teams.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives within the PMO to improve program execution, visibility, and operational efficiency.
• Provide guidance and mentoring to less-experienced team members as needed.

Education and Experience Required

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Business, Program Management, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
• Typically 4–6 years of experience in Program Management or a related role.
• Proficiency with program management, productivity, and collaboration tools, including Smartsheet, Lucid Timeline, Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, and Slack.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills in English, with the ability to clearly communicate program plans, status, risks, and decisions to stakeholders and management.
• Demonstrated experience managing cross-functional programs involving multiple stakeholders, dependencies, milestones, and deliverables.
• Experience working within product development, technology, engineering, or similar complex technical environments.

Knowledge and Skills

• Strong program management capabilities across planning, execution, risk management, dependency management, issue resolution, and stakeholder communication.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify risks and issues early, evaluate alternatives, and drive data-informed decisions.
• Strong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to facilitate alignment and drive accountability across technical and business teams.
• Ability to escalate issues appropriately and negotiate priorities, trade-offs, and resolution options across management and partner teams.
• Ability to work independently, manage competing priorities, and exercise sound judgment while seeking guidance when appropriate.

Preferred Qualifications

• PMP, PMI, or equivalent project/program management certification.
• Experience working with OEMs, suppliers, or external technology partners.
• Experience supporting hardware, infrastructure, Storage, or enterprise technology product development programs.
