Votre mission, si vous l'acceptez :


Une offre de stage intitulée « Stage 2027 - Méthodes de calcul de fixations pour maquettes de soufflerie : modélisation et caractérisation (f/h) » vient de s'ouvrir au sein d'Airbus Operations SAS sur son site de Blagnac.

Vous rejoindrez le département de l’aérodynamique expérimentale au sein d'une équipe d'une quinzaine de personnes en charge des essais en soufflerie ainsi que du développement des maquettes.

Dans le cadre de nos essais en soufflerie, notre laboratoire conçoit les maquettes pour tous nos programmes. Le concepteur a la responsabilité de rédiger une note de calcul à l'attention des souffleries utilisées, afin de garantir la tenue sous charges lors des essais.

Votre stage consistera à explorer les façons de modéliser les fixations d'assemblage des maquettes sous CATIA V5, avec si possible une corrélation par essais physiques, afin d'harmoniser une méthode pour l'ensemble de nos équipes transnationales.


Ce stage, d'une durée de 6 mois, débutera idéalement entre janvier et mars 2027 (cette période est indicative et pourra être ajustée).


Vos principales missions consisteront à :


● Créer des modèles CAO et éléments finis simples de jonction mécanique représentant des assemblages typiques de nos maquettes;

● Définir et construire une méthodologie pour évaluer les différents types de modélisation de fixations;

● Définir un assemblage physique en vue de réaliser des tests mécaniques de vérification des modèles;

● Revue de la littérature de méthodologie de calculs de vis;

● Calcul analytique du modèle par RdM classique;

● Définition d'un modèle simple en CAO;

● Définition de modèles par éléments finis;

● Test des différents modèles sous chargements typiques;

● Définition des pièces et installations en vue de réaliser des essais de corrélation.


Votre tuteur ou tutrice vous accompagnera tout au long de votre stage, vous aidant à développer vos compétences et à atteindre vos objectifs professionnels.


Ce stage vous permettra notamment de développer les compétences suivantes :

● Contact et communication au sein d’un environnement industriel ;

● Esprit d’équipe ;

● Application concrète de calcul de structure en environnement industriel;

● Rédaction de documents techniques précis, et également de synthèse claire.



Votre carte d’embarquement pour cette aventure :


Vous êtes actuellement en Bac+5 en Mécanique, Calcul de structure ou un domaine équivalent.


Vous possédez idéalement les compétences suivantes :


● Compétences techniques :

○ Connaissances en Résistance des Matériaux (RdM) et en calcul de structure.

○ Maîtrise de la CAO (CATIA V5).

○ Connaissances en modélisation par éléments finis.


● Soft Skills :

○ Esprit d’équipe et aisance relationnelle.

○ Autonomie et prise de décision.

○ Esprit pratique et esprit critique.

○ Précision, rigueur et engagement.


● Langues :

○ Anglais : Avancé

○ Français : Intermédiaire

Your mission:


An internship opportunity titled: "2027 Internship - Calculation methods for wind tunnel model fasteners: modeling and characterization (m/f)" has just opened at Airbus Operations SAS located in Blagnac.

You will join the experimental aerodynamics department within a team of about 15 people in charge of wind tunnel testing as well as model development.

As part of our wind tunnel tests, our laboratory designs models for all our programs. The designer is responsible for writing a stress calculation note for the wind tunnels used, in order to guarantee structural integrity under load during testing.


Your internship will consist in exploring ways to model assembly fasteners for models under CATIA V5, with physical test correlation if possible, in order to harmonize a methodology across all our transnational teams.


Ideally, this is a 6-month internship and it should start between January and March 2027 (date subject to flexibility).


Your main missions will consist of:

● Creating simple CAD and finite element models of mechanical joints representing typical assemblies of our models.

● Defining and building a methodology to evaluate the different types of fastener modeling.

● Defining a physical assembly to perform mechanical test verification of the models.

● Reviewing the literature on bolt calculation methodology.

● Analytical calculation of the model using classical Strength of Materials (SoM).

● Defining a simple CAD model.

● Defining finite element models.

● Testing the different models under typical load conditions.

● Defining parts and setups to perform correlation tests.


Your tutor will support you identify your professional objectives and develop your skills.


This internship will allow you to develop the following skills:

● Contact and communication within an industrial environment.

● Team spirit.

● Concrete application of structural calculation in an industrial environment.

● Drafting accurate technical documents and clear summaries.


Your Boarding Pass:


You are preparing a diploma level Master's degree / Bac+5 in Mechanics, Structural Calculation, or an equivalent field.


You possess the following competences:


Technical skills:

Knowledge of Strength of Materials (SoM) and structural calculation

Proficiency in CAD (CATIA V5)

Knowledge of finite element modeling


Soft Skills:

Team spirit and interpersonal skills

Autonomy and decision-making

Practical mindset and critical thinking

Accuracy, rigor, and commitment


Languages skills:

English: advanced

French: intermediate
