Join a Fortune 500 team that invests in your growth, values your contributions, and challenges you to make a lasting impact every day.

As a Staff Electrical E&C Project Manager, you are not just managing projects — you are defining how complex power generation initiatives are executed across the organization. This role demands technical mastery, strategic vision, and the ability to deliver results that directly impact business performance.

You will independently handle relatively complex facilities engineering assignments and lead multiple large-scale generation projects with a relentless focus on safety, efficiency, and profitability, ensuring every initiative aligns with corporate objectives and engineering best practices. Assignments include utility-scale combined-cycle and simple-cycle facilities, cogeneration and behind-the-meter generation supporting industrial and data-center load, plant up rates and repowering, battery energy storage, and associated substation, switchyard, and generation-tie interconnection scope. The role performs special studies relating to economic analysis, optimization, automation, and productivity, and may supervise engineering design consultants and field contractors engaged in project construction. Work product is reviewed only for results.

Responsibilities/Expectations:

  • Leads teams to implement project plans or programs of significant complexity, coordinating with internal and external business partners
  • Directs the full lifecycle of complex generation projects from development through commercial operation
  • Sets up the core project team to facilitate achievement of the project objective
  • Coordinates key functions with technical resources under the guidance of the Project Life Cycle
  • Develops and implements project reports, presentations, schedules, and cost forecasts
  • Presents and implements recommendations supported by sound engineering and operational efficiency that support reliability targets and reduce project risk
  • Prepares, reviews, and approves requests for proposals, bid evaluations, and contractor selection
  • Leads engineering design consultants, EPC contractors, and field construction resources
  • Understands the economic impact of the project being developed to drive solutions; performs economic, optimization, and reliability studies supporting investment decisions
  • Anticipates issues, gathers information, assesses opportunity, analyzes alternative solutions, and makes important decisions
  • Develops optimum project solutions that improve economic profit over the life of the asset
  • Establishes enterprise standards and best practices for generation project execution, including outage integration, commissioning and startup readiness, and performance testing
  • Runs moderate-to-large projects with high quality and a focus on business partners
  • Leads project teams and contractors; accountable for producing results and meeting deadlines
  • Ensures compliance with applicable technical, safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements
  • Other duties as assigned

Education/Years of Experience:

  • Required: Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering from an ABET accredited university and minimum 15 years’ experience in power generation, energy, oil and gas, and/or engineering/project management
  • Preferred: Bachelor’s Degree in engineering or construction management and Master's degree in business, project management or engineering management; PMP, PE, and Microsoft Specialist Project Certification (MS)

Physical and Environment Work Requirements:

  • Must be willing to travel up to 50%

Other Requirements:

  • PMP, PE, and Microsoft Specialist Project (MS) certification
  • Experience serving as the project leader on utility-scale thermal generation or energy storage projects
