The Sr. Staff Solution Architect – Commercial is responsible for designing and delivering end‑to‑end solutions that support the Commercial functions. This role partners closely with business and IT stakeholders to translate requirements into scalable, integrated architectures, ensuring alignment with enterprise standards and regulatory expectations.

This position reports to the Sr. Manager – Commercial Solution Architecture and is part of the Enterprise Engineering, Solution Architecture, Analysis & Design organization.

 What you will do: 

• Translate business needs into technical solutions, ensuring seamless integration with global platforms and architectures.
• Design secure, scalable, and maintainable solutions that adhere to enterprise architecture standards, align with global strategies, and integrate with global platforms, systems, and data environments.
• Partner with business stakeholders to translate strategic objectives into technology roadmaps and solution blueprints.

• Collaborate closely with Engineering, DevOps, Security, and Operations to ensure architectures are practical, buildable, testable, and operable, with clear handoffs into delivery. 

• Lead proof-of-concept initiatives and technology evaluations to validate architectural approaches and emerging technologies. 

Who you are:  

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field.
• ​ Proficient in Salesforce (ServiceMax), with proven experience in leveraging its architecture to optimize field service workflows, asset management, and commercial operations
• Multiple years of experience in enterprise software engineering delivery and/or in solution architecture for Commercial. 
• Deep functional domain and value‑stream architecture expertise, with the ability to abstract business complexity into scalable architectural patterns. 

• Strong ability to think end‑to‑end and long‑term, translating business strategy and value streams into coherent, sustainable architecture directions at domain or portfolio level. 

• Ability to communicate and influence effectively with senior business and IT stakeholders through pragmatic insight, clarity of thinking, and trust-based partnership. 

Travel, Motor Vehicle Record & Physical/Environment Requirements:  

• Ability to travel up to 10%, including occasional overnight and international travel as required for team and stakeholder alignment. 

It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in: 

• Demonstrated success driving simplification and reuse across Commercial application portfolios while enabling scalable, global business growth. 
• Regulated enterprise architecture expertise, including quality, security, privacy, and compliance‑by‑design within GxP/SOX validated environments.
