Job Description
The Sr. Global Supply Planner is a global planning leadership role responsible for driving supply visibility, risk management, governance and executive-ready decisions support across supply, commercial and manufacturing teams.
Responsibilities:
Work with DCs to order and reserve inventory for key customers.
Provide data for Key Performance Metrics (root causes of order issues, excess &expired inventory, schedule compliance, % of repeated orders, projected inventory at risk/stock loss, etc.). (Some of these could be Demand, Production & Supply Planning metrics)
Maximize the use of material to minimize excess inventory and scrap by monitoring impact of material volume purchases, expiration dating, and sales forecast changes.
Performs supply chain and supply chain functions, such as master scheduling, customer allocation and cross functional collaboration with internal stakeholders for creating a master schedule of planned orders for the products
Responsible for managing and analyzing data to improve the overall supply chain process.
Create reports to help support process improvement, analytics and general performance related directly or indirectly to supply chain and/or operations.
Leads and or participates in key projects as SME and drives continuous improvements.
Create, deploy, and leverage statistical techniques and business methods to ensure the US and regional stocking strategies are implemented.
Execution of strategies to reduce inventory and improve cash flow.
Inventory Management: Process development, integration, and execution of stocking and inventory processes that enhance customer experience while improving inventory management.
Build and operate a global management and reporting program that standardizes and regulates all projects and initiatives for relevant business scope
Leverage standard techniques and technologies to set/reset inventory targets for finished goods products among the distribution centers worldwide.
Communicate inventory position, budget, and financial re-forecast to senior management via Dashboards and tools.
Formulate and recommend policies, procedures, and processes that guide the organization in improving its cash flow and profitability, while still driving top-line growth and customer
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:
BS degree in Supply Chain, Math, Engineering or related field or equivalent experience
Minimum 5 years of experience in supply chain or operations planning
The incumbent must have high analytical skills with demonstrated ability to deliver accurate results, on time
Master Scheduling experience required
Experience working with Biologics/Reagents a plus
SAP (preferred), Microsoft Office, Power BI, Database tools
CERTIFICATIONS:
CPIM a plus
