What's the role?

As a Solution Consultant, you'll be a trusted advisor for the full ALEX Home suite and the Revenue and Renewal team's go-to product expert. You'll master our products, demo environment, system architecture, security and implementation requirements, customer needs and the sales process. You'll give consistent, high-quality solution support that speeds up deals and builds trust with buyers, brokers and partners. You'll also work with Marketing and Product to bring the voice of the market into our integrated benefits suite.

What you'll do to be successful

Sales execution and solution design

• Partner with Account Executives on deal strategy for ALEX Home opportunities, and lead the solution side of complex and strategic deals
• Model best-in-class discovery, demos and solution design for direct prospects, brokers and clients
• Shape the proposed solution around each buyer's needs
• Become a subject-matter expert in ALEX decision support, and help cross-train teammates
• Answer solution information requests, design tailored solutions and deliver in-depth demos
• Explain our integration capabilities, including APIs, file feeds and single sign-on (SSO), and how they fit each customer's architecture
• Speak confidently to security and data-privacy topics in live conversations
• Field questions and objections in real time, and show where our approach stands out against competitors
• Partner with the Proposal & Deal Desk team, which owns RFPs, security questionnaires and plan analysis: provide expert input on RFPs and support plan design analysis to confirm product fit
• Contribute to team revenue goals through win rate, deal velocity and solution quality

Training and enablement

• Partner with Sales Enablement to create advanced solution collateral and roll out talk tracks for Benefits Administration and ALEX

Market insight

• Partner with Marketing and Product to represent the voice of the market
• Give input on sales strategy and solution planning for future products, working with SC leadership
• Use your knowledge of customers' system and security landscapes to identify good fits for pilots and new products

Experience and skills you'll need

• 5+ years in presales, solutions consulting, benefits consulting or implementation within benefits administration or HR technology
• Experience designing and demoing complex enterprise solutions for C-level stakeholders
• Experience with decision support or employee benefits engagement tools strongly preferred
• Understanding of the broker and carrier ecosystem
• Ability to absorb product and system details quickly and translate them for customers
• Ability to create customer-facing collateral that addresses product and system concerns in plain language
• History of collaborating closely across sales, marketing, legal, security and technology teams
• Experience in a high-growth environment with new product launches
• Strong communication skills: you present complex ideas in a way that's honest, compelling and empathetic
• Up to 25% travel

The Details 

• Location: Remote 
• Salary Range: $125,000 - $145,000
• Additional Compensation: Commission elgible

The compensation range listed for this role reflects what we expect to pay, but where someone lands within that range depends on a few things, like their skills, relevant experience, qualifications, and how the role fits within our overall compensation philosophy, including internal equity and the budget for the role.

This role is eligible for commission in addition to base salary. During the interview process, our team will share how the commission plan works, including target earnings and how performance is rewarded.
