The Software Test Engineer will be part of the software team within the Image Guided Therapy Devices (IGT-D) Software R&D group, based in Plymouth, MN. In this role, you will focus on the manual and automated testing of integration and machine-learning-enabled workflows for clinical imaging software applications for the Azurion Eye program. Additionally, you will ensure the software application interface meets requirements, successfully handles edge cases, and implements effective risk control measures.

What is the Azurion Eye program? It advances Philips’ strategy to embed AI into clinical workflows by combining clinical intelligence, computer vision, predictive analytics, and AI-powered orchestration. The platform helps clinicians make faster, better-informed decisions, improve procedural efficiency through intuitive tableside control, and enhance patient safety with precision imaging and reduced radiation exposure, including in-room 3D CT-like imaging for stroke care.

Your role:

• Collaborate with the Product Owner and the software development team to ensure the requirements for software interfaces, integration and features are complete and testable. You will evaluate various Test Automation tools and frameworks suitable for testing the integration, interfaces of the IntraSight and Azurion platforms.

• Create and document automated test scenarios, plans, and cases for functional, reliability, performance, safety and risk controls, translation, and other software testing. Establish traceability and coverage between requirements and automated test cases, and develop, dry-run, and review those cases alongside software development during Sprints and/or Product Increments (PIs).
• Create or leverage test simulators to emulate hardware functionality and manage the virtual test infrastructure. Document test results, observations, and issues in accordance with regulatory requirements and internal quality management system standards, as well as perform regression testing and rerun tests to confirm resolved issues.

You are the right fit if:

• You’ve acquired 2+ years of experience with Bachelor's working as a Software Test Automation Engineer, Verification Engineer or similar.

• Your skills include testing enterprise software platforms and hospital systems such as PACS, RIS, and HIS; using test case management tools such as Jama, TestComplete, and Quality Center; applying test automation tools such as Postman, Tosca, TestComplete, and PyTest; scripting with Python and PowerShell; and working with regulatory standards such as IEC 62304, IEC 82304, ISO 13485, and ISO 14971.

• You have a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related discipline.
• You must be able to successfully perform the following minimum Physical, Cognitive and Environmental job requirements with or without accommodation for this position.

• You’re an excellent communicator who works effectively across matrixed organizations, comfortable partnering closely with key stakeholders, and global software development teams.

How we work together 

We believe that we are better together than apart. For our office-based teams, this means working in-person at least 3 days per week. Onsite roles require full-time presence in the company’s facilities. Field roles are most effectively done outside of the company’s main facilities, generally at the customers’ or suppliers’ locations.

Philips Transparency Details  

The pay range for this position in Plymouth, Minnesota is $108,000 to $171,000. 

The actual base pay offered may vary within the posted ranges depending on multiple factors including job-related knowledge/skills, experience, business needs, geographical location, and internal equity.     

In addition, other compensation, such as an annual incentive bonus, sales commission or long-term incentives, may be offered. At Philips, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top end of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent upon the facts and circumstances of each case.

Company relocation benefits will not be provided for this position.  For this position, you must reside in or within commuting distance to Plymouth, Minnesota.
