The Opportunity as a Software/Sr.Software Engineer (Windows) on the DEEM at Omnissa : 

• Ability to work and design scalable solutions involving Windows internals and system-level components  

• Ability to work effectively across cross-functional teams and global geographies 

• Drive end-to-end feature development, from design to implementation and delivery 

• Lead and influence technical direction within the team 

• Mentor and guide junior engineers, ensuring best practices and skill development 

• Collaborate with stakeholders to define and deliver innovative solutions 

• Participate in design reviews, code reviews, 5-whys, and RCCAs 

• Identify process or pipeline improvements to increase team efficiency 

• Participate in the on-call rotation 

• Champion engineering initiatives and foster a culture of high ownership, continuous improvement, and excellence. 

• Handle customer-impacting escalations, prioritising engineering work effectively. 

Required Qualifications: 

• Strong experience in Windows internals 

• Strong proficiency in C++ development  (5+ Years)

• Experience in Unit Test frameworks such as gTest and gMock. 

• Experience in Windows Server  

• Experience in Linux & MacOS operating systems is a plus 

• Solid understanding of multi-threading, concurrency, and inter-process communication 

• Experience with network programming: TLS/OpenSSL, HTTP client/server libraries. 

• Expertise in debugging using WinDbg and Windows performance profiling tools 

Location: Chennai/Bangalore 

Location Type: HYBRID.This role offers a balanced arrangement, with the expectation of working 3 days a week in our local office and the flexibility to work from home for the remaining days. It is essential that you reside within a reasonable commuting distance of the office location for the in-office workdays. 

Travel Expectations: 10% of travel, Domestic/International only if business demands. 

What is the leadership like for this role? What is the structure and culture of the team like? 

This role reports to Engineering Manager, DEEM. The team is based out of Chennai & Bangalore. We are a close-knit group of senior engineers with deep experience delivering our DEX Agent to the world’s largest companies. We work closely with our counterparts in the US to drive key platform improvements focused on security, service availability, resilience, and cost reduction. The success of our customers is our highest priority.
